Yeah I was reading about the alpha 3.5 in the blog section of the site.

What plugins from their forums do you recommend?

 

You know, I have so many that I have not teried them all extensively. I like the addon packs. Where you get a bunch of effects in one install. Like in "Distort", I have lot of stuff. Here is a screenshot of just one folder from a folder.

I like Glow, I like a lot of the basic stuff, but in the distort folder, I really like smudge. That is my playful folder. You mess with opjects in the image with these, you change then any way you can and with so many combos.

This has a lot of stuff for changing the backgrownd or something specific about the picture.

When it comes down to it though I still use the cut/paste and move pixels method a lot if I am doing photo manips or restoring a photo. I use the color picker tool to chose the right color, and blend the color with a variety of blurs to make it appear normal. I use the zoom feature.

I would take a look at the add ons thread and jusr pick what you like. You can always remove them. It is preference really. I am looking at as much as possible to learn it. I would love to learn vector stuff, but this is how I work.

Have fn. If you need help installing the adons, or extentions, ask me. I am about to go to bed. But it is not hard to do, just got to find the right folder.

 

Thanks for the screenies. Those plugins look very similar to the Alien Skin and Flaming Pear filter programs/filters you can get for Photoshop, which is a definite good thing.

 

Haha, I wish I knew. I just liked what I saw and added them. Never used photoshop. But I love how customizable PDN is.

That customisation for p.NET looks like great stuff. I'm at the stage now though, that, since I have a student Adobe suite, I really have no desire to try out different programs.

That's what I do. I burn all the water out of the thread and dry it out. That way the thread is preserved forever.

 

I am sure that Salt brings out the flavour in things, and makes things better?
