I'm going to my flatmates brothers birthday party and watching him DJ. Then going home to be povo.

 

Hmmm...well, it's only monday, but I already know what I'm going to be doing. Working Friday night and Sunday morning, which leaves Saturday night...going to my friend's birthday party thing. Which I don't really feel like going to...

 

I kinda hate parties now. I just hate the mindless piss head culture, I'm kinda over it.

I'll have a few drinks- but some people just live to get tanked, and talk it up all the time. It's pathetic.

I suppose it's because my girlfriend goes to Uni, and it's all her younger uni colleagues, but meh...

I've had a couple of huge nights that involved no-one in the group remembering how we got home, but these are more annual events. I don't get people that can't wait for the weekend, get smashed, and can't remember what they did. Then they hang out for the next weekend to do it all again.

 

It's fun - in moderation. I enjoy a good pissup every now and then, but in all honesty I'd really only do it a handful of times a year.

Me too. I don't see the point...have a few drinks, sure, and get tipsy. But getting tanked, week after week...well, I think it's pretty antisocial, myself. Unless, that is, that your friends are boring and therefore you need to drink to have fun.

To continue the pissup culture thing, I have to admit that I was held in its sway for a good long while there. From maybe 18-20. But I must add that it was just what you do on a weekend in Geelong, and well, with friends like I had, I didn't want to be sober anyhow Nah, It was just something to do, and relatively cheap and less nasty compared to the other substance abuse that went on. I don't much like it now, and although I love a bit of a good night on the turps, it's much fewer and far between than it used to be and I certainly don't bother talking about it How boring!

And I'm going through a whole phase where I like to taste my alcohol as well as drink it, if you know what I mean

This weekend, I hope that I get some sleep, play more of my records on my new shiney record player and get some sleep.

I also want to play poker, but that may not happen
