Well there is no rule about playing multiple characters, so I wouldn't be against it. Only if you really wish to roll up a sorcerer.

Here's my Kender that never got to see any gametime...

    Name: Knick-knack Paddywhack
    Age: 21
Physical Description: 3?7?, 81 lbs, Hazel brown eyes and copper colored hair worn in a rather short style, with two braided buns covering his ears. His clothes have many pockets in which to store little items he finds along the way. Knick-knack also has a siberian husky that serves as a riding dog, however it is shaved much like a french poodle.
    Race: Kender
    Class: Bard
    Alignment: Neutral Good
Weapon: Shortsword, dagger, bardic music, his riding dog Adog
    Armor: Studded Leather
    Realm: Ansalon

That's not rude, but it is a kind of stupid question...In Dungeons and Dragons, heroes are not the norm. A Red Dragon could be part of a holy order of good-aligned paladins. A Gold Dragon could be a servant of Bahamut. So a Kender without a topknot? It's the least of his heroic characteristics.

Also, I'm kinda perturbed by the level that we are at. We are 10h level and you say that a Balor is the least of our worries? A Balor would eat a kender for a midnight snack, and then he'd eat the rest of our party for breakfast, except the warforged, which he would tare(sp?) apart and use for his eating utensils. I know you probably have some type of plan, but i'm not sure if I want to play a 10th level character in a capmaign in which we are fighting against Archfiends.

[face_mischief] That's why the armies of the Abyss and the Nine Hells are pouring onto the worlds. That means dretches, vrocks, osyluths, kythons, hellcats, succubi, etc. will face your characters.

Archfiends like Demogorgon and Asmodeus won't be confronting you directly at the start of the game. That's character suicide. [face_beatup]

    Anyway, here's a current roster:

    Khorvaire

Besides, most DMs I've played with dont exactly go by the specs in the books anyway. One group I played with once went up against an Archfiend when we were below 5th level. We defeated the creature, but we didnt come out unscathed thats for sure. If it werent for Hero Points, I and another would have been rolling new characters. Course it was my fault, I did choose to charge the beast at sword point while I had explosive potions in my backpack. Rolled a critical hit and kaboom! Hurt him but knocked me out.

I don't have a problem with mounts as long as they are not like demi-mounts like Pegasus or Cerberus.

To tell the truth, mounts won't be needed for the campaign. They'll be with you sure, but unless you're riding them into battle, they'll be doing much less else than grazing/hunting/whatever.

Knick-knack had just happened to have found a friend more annoying than himself.

Again, I will start the game near the end of the week (Friday sounds good), and players can join later in the game or even during the time before the game starts.

A simple riding horse will do for me. Smaller stomach to feed and faster for quick getaways. Not to mention easier to handle. :p

EmoJawa, a riding lizard it is. I won't get into the details of having an exotic saddle (that just makes the game FAR too detailed :p)

Mitth, good plan ;) but chances are, if battle ensues, will all of you be riding your mounts into battle? You would be tougher than they are in terms of game stats, and they could very well be killed/possessed/etc.

If there is one certainty in DnD, mounts die fast and often. Hence why I chose a horse, easier to replace.

I have to disagree with this statement...If you take care of your mount, and actually have a fair amount of ranks in the 'Ride' skill, then it is unlikely that your mount will die before your character does. That is of course if you don't use it as a meat sheild.

But then again, Mounts are NOT controlled by the character, in D&D 3.5 mounts are supposed to be controlled as NPC's by the gm(This is what ride checks are for, among other things), but I as a weekly GM, am lenient on that rule...if the player takes the time to come out with the stats and particulars about the mount, then they can for all purposes control it. I am not sure about this applying to regular mounts such as dogs and horses, but with exotic mounts I am sure this is the rule.

Anyway, it's all up to the GM. I'm not a rule stickler, just a friendly informant.

Oh, Yah! I should probably tell you that i don't have too much time on my hands, so if you start and I don't post right away, just keep going without me and I will try to catch up.

With the group I play with, it is a given that any mount we have will be dead in one or two sessions. Its not because we dont try to take care of our mounts, its just the dice just want to see our mounts die. We've gone through so many horses it's impossible to keep track of a tally now.

It also depends on what kind of campaign you are playing too and how sadistic and evil your DM is. Our world is ancient Earth/Middle Earth with lots of LE, CE, and NE creatures which tend to go after our mounts first.

o_O we can have mounts? PWnzor i want my warforged charger!!! he'll pwnzor all your stupid mounts cuz he's made of the same stuff i am. And he's powerful and he can think for himself. And he's as smart as you, but way stupider then me. Don't like it? :p your not the so :p. And Besides, logically if a guy can get a wolf, then i can get an animated being that doesn't require food/water or sleep.

    You know what?

It doesn't matter to my character, because I am half dragon with 'Quick' and 'Improved speed' which makes my ground speed 50 feet(without armor) and 40 feet when I am in my Mithril Full Plate, So I'll just jog right along side you and your mounts...I think there re too many mounts going around.

If you won't be using them in battle, it would only make sense that we get two heavy horses, and strap them to a cart to carry our belongings.(I am telling this to the people in my adventuring party)

DM NOTE: This will be played like a regular D&D session. Dice may be asked to be rolled (if you do not have them, they will be rolled for you) and we will be playing by an honest system. You won't be rolling criticals on every other important roll.

    LET THE GAME BEGIN!

    Khorvaire

    Zarantyr, Sul, Sharn, Morgrave University

[blockquote]The City of Towers, otherwise known as Sharn to the peoples of Khorvaire, holds one of the most prominent universities known: Morgrave University. Inside, one of many scholars dwells over books in his study as two mysterious and cloaked figures stand behind him.

You find yourselves before this man, standing at arms length of his desk and the two men standing beside him have the same symbol as the Silver Flame on their tabards.

The man rises to meet your eyes and adjusts his glasses. ?Demogorgon, Grazzt, and Orcus?? The man begins, eyeing you both cautiously. He appears to be very dark toned with large hairy sideburns running down the side of his face. His teeth bare a feral appearance, as does the rest of his body, aside from his scholarly attire.

?These are the Demon Lords you need concern yourself with on your quest. The two of you have been chosen out of many soldiers, assassins, and former mercenaries for this dangerous assignment. Due to the fact that our realm is in fact connected with two others, our portal to the Abyss and the Nine Hells does not permit us entry. Therefore, we must send you to the other realms via another portal to use their portal.? The man rubs his chin and looks you both over for a moment more.

    ?Any questions??[/blockquote]

[blockquote]The mid-day sun burns brightly as the ground itself is coated with a fine layer of snow. Battle has seen much of this land in the recent days, fending off attacks by Baalzebul and Dispater. Through your travels, you found yourself located by one of the Red Wizards and enlisted to the task of traveling to the Lower Planes.

After leaving the court of Lord Sthavar, you remember your instructions: Meet with Rivin and Rurik, follow them to the Red Wizard enclave, use the portal to travel to Ansalon, enter the Nine Hells and defeat the armies of the Nine Hells.

As you near one of the many local shipyards, you see a drow man clad in dark shadow armor and wearing a pair of fashionable sunglasses. At his side, a stocky dwarf clad in stoneplate armor coveting what appears to be a hammer with all-too-Smeagol-like tendencies. The drow waves you over with a flash of his hand and slaps the dwarf to straighten him up.[/blockquote]

OOC: As Paladin in this Faerun group, I'm thinking i have the best diplomacy skills, so I think that maybe I should do the talking? I would also like to remind everyone on Faerun what the first rule of D&D is: DON'T LET THE CLERIC DIE!

Last, from what I gather about the intro, we are traveling together, if not VOID THIS POST.

    IC: Damodred BronzeSkin

Damodred was the descendant of a long line of elven royalty. He was cast out from his traditional seat by the elders of his Wood upon his mothers death. His father, Dasciousnexistociuz a Great Wyrm bronze dragon, held considerable sway among the Draconic races. There he became a Paladin of Bahamut, trained in the ways of the slayer.

Damodred walked through the streets, to the local shipyards. His aura of good surrounding him as he walked through the streets, he let his senses flow through him, trying to detect evil.

Damodred, the Paladin of the group led from the front, but always kept the rogue in his sight. Over their travels together, he had learned to rely on them for much that he could not do himself, they were a team. Damodred did much of the fighting, Valis did the spellcasting, Durin did his cleric things and Azorinth was the rogue.

Damodred trusted the Cleric, with his life...literaly. Azorinth on the other hand, was not one person that Damodred would turn his back on...ever. The Dark Elf was evil, to the core. Everytime Damodred tried his detect evil, the Drow ALWAYS showed up on it.

As they neared the ports, Damodred noticed another Drow, waving them over.

"They must be Rivin and Rurik. Let's not keep them waiting." Damodred let out a slight growl at the end of his sentance and released his weapon from it's hold on his back.

Andalome, Damodred's sword, was magical. It had an intelligence that rivaled even demigods. She was extremely well built, and called herself the 'Queen of Blades." Andalome hated evil almost as much as her Paladin weilder, but not quite that level. She had been given to Damodred as a gift from his father, one of the Dragon lords of the Bronze flight. It was only when in a time of dire consequences that she was awoken, and unleashed her powers upon Damodred's foes. The two had been a team since then, and Damodred had unlocked many of her other abilities.

He walks up to the Dwarf and Drow, "Greetings, I am Damodred BronzeSkin, Paladin of Bahamut."

Reshon eyed the man cautiously. As he always had he eyed the man wallet carefully to see how large, and bulky it was. After seeing the man had a large amount of money Reshon thought "should I ... relieve him of his heavy wallet? or should I be nice?"

Reshon then spoke "I have but two questions, first of, I need to know how much we are gonna get out of this little adventure, and second of, if we are gonna get any more help because me and tall, metallic and bulky might not get the ob done alone "Reshon is still carefully eyeing the mans wallet bu then looks at other places to see what is valuable and possible to steal"

As the paladin tried his detect evil, he found nothing of the sort, short of the drow that accompanied him currently. Perhaps they traveled together to breach a common good betwixt them: like fighting the hordes of the underworld. Any paladin would gladly work with an evil doer if they had the chance to take down an Archdevil or Demon Lord.

The Gollum-like dwarf took a swig from a large tankard and pulled out a wand from his pouch, waving it around as if to cast a violent spell, but only a boquet of flowers appeared each time to the dwarf's frustration. The drow with him, sighed and shook his head. "You're going to have to forgive him, he's not right in the head y'know." The dark-skinned elf extended his hand, the two deadly-looking katars at his belt shining in the mid-day sun. "I am Rivin, and my obsessvive acquaintance here is Rurik Redstone, priest."

Rurik continued waving the wand around, more flowers coming and going. Within moments, he finally gave up and went back to drinking. Rivin looked the party over. "A half-dragon eh? Haven't seen many of you to be honest. But a half-dragon paladin?" Rivin's eyes drifted towards the drow in the party. He gave a drow gesture of greeting and turned back to Damodred. "You keep curious company, paladin. I must say I don't particularly like your kind. The last paladin I traveled with lost his leg because he chose to hit me with his sword. Then his Holy Avenger breaks and practically killed us in the explosion."

Rivin shook his head, his long white hair shaking with it. "Anyway, my orders are to escort you to the Red Wizard enclave. Whenever you are ready, or if you have any questions, ask them before we depart..."

    Khorvaire

    Zarantyr, Sul, Sharn, Morgrave University

[blockquote]"You need not worry yourself of my wallet, Reshon." The shifter replied, baring his sharp teeth. Clearly he had been able to read his mind with either a clairvoyance or detect thoughts spell. "Morgrave and the noblemen of Khorvaire will pay you handsomely, perhaps ten times your weight in gold."

The shifter turned his eyes to Reven. "Your friend here will be promoted, or so the Lord of Blades tells me. Apparently that's worth more to any warforged than any sum of monetary wealth."

Again, the shifter rubbed his chin and looked to the two guards standing behind him. Clearly as if to answer the question regarding "help". The knights shook their head and the shifter sighed. "In Ansalon, there is someone who could help you, but I cannot guarantee how much help they could be. Seek out the Tower of High Sorcery and you will be directed to the town of Solace. At the Inn of the Last Home, he will find you."

The knights shifted uncomfortably, as if they knew who they were to meet and one of them stifled a laugh. The shifter growled under his breath and adjusted the wide-set frames of his glasses once more. "Your friend here has nothing he wishes to ask?" His last part directed at the warforged barbarian.[/blockquote]

REven stood still unless adressed directly. There was nothing more disgraceful then a soldier who layed about and did nothing. Keeping his posture straight head held high he listened to the strange man in front of him. He was odd looking compared to most humanoids, but that was none of his buisness.

"Indeed sir. Nothing is more rewarding then a Promotion sir. One question sir. To what shall i be promoted to sir?" Reven said in a monotonous voice, only letting life leek into it when he was saying Sir. Years in the army had taught him to adress anyone "superior" to him with a sir after it. The boss always needed a "sir" after it when adressed. Either way he was getting distracted.

"What are your orders sir?" Reven said.
