Ug, I hate them so much. And I always get a really bad bruise, no matter how careful the nurses are.

Haha. Nurses hate me. They stab me, they inject it in the wrong place, they even bent a needle in my arm once. Such fun :p I've had the liquid pushed into my muscles, missing the bloodstream entirely, and yet I still think they're fun :p

I finally gave up and bought the new books from Amazon. Just finished reading them, and wishing I hadn't, because now I'm going to die until Mercy comes out. Damn you Carey and your cliffhanger ending!

And, honestly, I agree with Nat. Imri/Sidonie = awesome. And I mean it. Like, screw any other pairing in any other fandom I've ever thought was good, this one just blows them away. And I thought Phedre/Joscelin was good...

As for Dorelei dying, it sucked, a bit, mostly because of how Imri became a complete emo idiot and ran off to faraway places and we had to contend with chapter after chapter of monotony. And the ending of Justice sucked a bit, what with the "Oh, we're back to Terre D'Ange, tune in next time for more fun adventures!" feel of it.

But, yeah. Alais is both awesome and an idiot simultaneously, Sidonie is funny as hell, and Ysandre is just a n00b. Oddly, I found the best character of the lot of them to be Mavros. I figured at the start I'd like Eamonn better, because in the first triogy I liked the Dalriada and thought the Shahrizai a bunch of pompous idiots, but Mavros was cool.

Ditto on the Mavros thing. And I didn't like him in the first, but I liked him in Justice.

I was just so glad that Dorelei was out of the picture that I didn't mind :p

And I was okay with the ending because it wasn't as cliffhanger-y as the ending to the last one was, so I can live with waiting until next summer for it.

Glad you cracked and bought it :D

I'd be really happy if Mercy is just Imri, Sidonie, Politics, and Imri doing wonderful, terrible things to Sidonie's helpless body...

Damn, best line of the book that... :p

Something tells me that Imri's mother will be back (joy [face_plain]) and we'll be seeing a lot of the Unseen Guild.

You know, I think that's a bit silly, really, especially since it never came up in the first trilogy -- especially after what happened in Darsanga, and then them travelling down half of Africa. Obviously the Guild couldn't track them there, but if they lost Melisande's son so easily, they're not THAT powerful. And the bit about Phedre's guardian could have joined and averted the Skaldic war . . . that just makes me sad.

Do certain songs now remind you of those books? These ones remind me of them:

    "Love Hurts"

    "Hurts So Good"

    "With or Without You"

    "Closer to Myself"

    "King of Pain"

I've thought a few more songs fitting the description:

    "Masochism Tango"

    "S&M Motel"

"Secure yourself" by the Indigo Girls

    "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak

I don't remeber who sang those first two. [face_blush]

And I found a couple of fun quizzes:

Where in the Night Court do you belong?

    and

    Character Quiz

I'm in Mandrake (obviously :p ), and Melisande, according to those tests :p

And on the second quiz I got a rather nice picture of a naked lady being pecked by a swan. How delightful :D

    :p

Dammit, just re-read the whole load of them within a few days. I think I'm fit to burst out yelling "MOAR IMRI/SIDONIE!!!" :p

I meant to reread the series. I have the first four books on my desk right now, have had them there for the last two weeks. Just can't muster up interest. :(

The only one I got thoroughly bored by was Avatar, mainly because it's just silly :p

    Was that the second one?

I don't need to re-read because I just started these a few months ago :p but maybe someday when I have time, I'll re-read the first. The others weren't good enough to reread completely, so I'll do my usual of rereading about half, just the sections I like :p

Avatar's the third. Chosen is the second :p I think I now prefer Scion and Justice to Dart, actually. Mainly Justice... [face_hypnotized]

I'm reading Kushiel's Avatar now. Cobra, I know what you mean by the Mahrkagir being funny--peculiar, not amusing.

That one gave me weird dreams about. However, I like it more than Chosen.

Cobra, why does that not surprise me? :p

Or I just find Imri/Sidonie so much hotter than Phedre/Everyone :p
