    RONNIE...

    Jeekits...you see what I get for procrastinating? Everyone takes all the good hobbies! Most all the stuff I love to do...has been done already...but that's cool...it kicks ass, actually! That means that I have alot in common (or at least one thing) with all of you...and that rocks. I mean, I like to sleep...I like to run (when I'm not lazy)...I like to play video games...I like to go out vampiring...I dig on music...I love movies and the work that goes into them...

    So I sat down and said to myself--Self, what hobby do I have that nobody else has mentioned? What do I enjoy to do that is different...but yet...along the same lines? And I came down to one thing and one thing alone: WRITING. ;)

    "My job is coming-up with goofy ****..." - George Carlin

    Great words. Immortal words. Now, that's not to say that all I write about is "Goofy ****", persay...but I do like to write humorous stories. I actually have a rather sizeable BYS/Star Wars FanFic going right now. It's getting pretty long...and nowhere NEAR finished. I've been working on it for almost a year...and submit it in installments on all of the BYS threads. I currently have the stupid-ass story archived here if you'd like to take a gander... :)

    As for me, I personally enjoy writing mainly thrillers. I love 'em. I love writing and coming-up with stories that have huge twists and turns....cliffhangers...interesting and complex characters...the whole nine yards. I absolutely love it. If I can write something to keep my readers intrigued...salivating to read the next chapter or installment, I'm a happy guy...I'm a happy guy!!!

    Some of my writing heroes include:

    [image=http://www.cnn.com/2000/books/news/07/24/stephenking.internet.ap/story.king.jpg]

    Stephen King. The dude is a master of the craft. His stories are compelling, brilliant, and frightening. I've been a fan of his for many years. I only HOPE that I can become as great as him one day...

    Favorite King Book: All of them.

    [image=http://fusionanomaly.net/jrrtolkien.jpg]

    J.R.R. Tolkien. What more is there to say? He's the father of the single-greatest piece of literature ever to be released: The Lord of the Rings. He has made such a complex and intricate story. There is so much info on all of the locales and characters...it's almost like they actually lived and breathed one time. It's truly marvelous...

    Favorite Tolkien Book: The Lord of the Rings.....duh... :p

    [image=http://www.sniglets.com/sniglets/contact/john.jpg]

    The Guy who wrote the "Sniglets" books. Now, I'm not sure if this guy is the actual author...but his mug came-up when I put "sniglets" into the Google search engine. So that works for me... ;)

    I think most of you have heard of "Sniglets". If you haven't, I pity you all... ;) :p I used to read these books avidly as a kid. They're funny as hell...

    Favorite "Sniglets" Book: All of them.

    In summation, I love to write. I think most of you have managed to realize that since being locked-up with my idiot self here in this cavalcade of monkeys...The Big Brother House. Now, I'd like to end with a small story about myself...and my ninth grade teacher....quit thinkin' sick thoughts, damn you... :p

    It was the spring of '92. I was a skinny and impressionable ninth-grade kid. Now, I knew things were the way they were...they just were. Hey, who the hell am I to argue? Roll with the punches, dammit! Anyways, I had to write a paper for my ninth grade writing class. The teacher? The dreaded Mrs. Astrid Colombus. Everyone hat

    Sam, that's such a cool story! What a great affirmation from someone you respect to keep you motivated to do what you love. That's terrific.

    I love Stephen King as well. I got hooked on his work in high school and have read everything he's done. He's brilliant.

    Keep up the good work! :D

    I never realized there were sniglet books! I remember when Richard Hall used to do his sniglet bits on Saturday Night Live (he was on around when Eddie Murphy was on), and then on Not Necessarily the News.

    I never realized there were books and a whole Sniglet universe. I thought everyone was just making obscure SNL references.
