This will probably be my first and last post in this thread. And hopefully it's the first. Woo hoo!

 

I hope it won't be your last post. The lounge is a fun place. It dones't get too wild... *doens't bring up the blaster fight in the old one* and lots of regulars stop by duing busy times. maybe now that we're smaller, more ppl will stop by.

 

Lately the writer's lounge has been dead.

 

D'oh! The temptation was too strong. So, anyone got any good stories to recommend? I recommend my Phantom Menace rewrite, of course, but I would...

 

that's why I said busy times.

 

Oakessteve (that's too long, got a nick?), what's your re-write about? I'm working on a re-write which entirely re-writes the plot. Anakin is 20, for example. I'm wondering if my fic would clash with yours.

Well, everyone is the same age,except for Anakin, who is thirteen. The basic plot is the same, but there are a few extra subplots, and I've tried explaining a few things that weren't very clear in the film. Obi-Wan's role is much bigger, and I've tried to make him a more likeable, humourous, and human character. Also, Nute Gunray is rather evil in my rewrite, and Darth Maul has more dialogue, and has more to do. If anyone's interested, please have a look at it!

 

Oakessteve (can i call you steve?), would you mind if I posted my re-write of TPM here? by here, I mean the stories forum. sheeshers, this is complicated...

 

Well, I'll join the hype and plug my own story. It takes place during the Jedi purges and involves a unique sect of the Jedi...or at least the last remaining member of the sect. Anyway, the link is in my signature. Please go read it!

Wow, I have such a defining sense of self...I suggested something, and in the hour or so since the idea's materialization in the form of this board, people really seem to like it!

But please, post stories! Give the editors work!

And I've just used entirely too many exclamation points. Oh, well. They are the most overused form of punctuation in the English language; I might as well use it a little more.

 

Don't flatter yourself too much there, Melyanna. The idea was pressed through for other reasons as well.

 

Yeah, it seems to me (from all the threads I had to close!) that FanFic was in more dire need of organization than any other forum... it's about time this happened.

 

Heck, the idea of a second forum has been requested before and been shot down.

And who are these "editors" you speak of?
