Amph [The X-Files] The (Continuing) Event Series!

I wonder if there are going to be "monster of the week"-type episodes or if it will all be dedicated to making the Myth Arc even more nonsensical.

 

Six episode miniseries is a smart way to go about it. This will probably (hopefully) eliminate the monster of the week filler episodes. I'll definitely watch.

 

HOPEFULLY? Those were the best episodes!

No doubt there will be some overarching component, but I'm glad to see each episode will likely be self contained.

 

Some of them were, but some of them were pretty bad. Vince Gilligan's Brady Bunch episode was terrible. His "Hollywood AD" episode was bad, as well. "Drive" (with Bryan Cranston) was pretty ****ing good, though.

 

Honestly, for it to be a good X-Files, it should be three episodes MotW, three episodes mythology.

 

my favorite episodes are the ones like when Killer bugs in the woods were eating people, I liked episode like that better then Alien ones, The Alien episodes fell flat for me and then that bogus story line where Scully had Cancer instead of it being actual Aliens

Still "Clive Bruckman's Final Repose" was one of the greatest episodes and totally non-mythology related.

I'm cautiously hopeful. What I wish is that this series would pick up after the end of the seventh season. You know, kind of retcon those last two seasons out of existence. And, for God's sake, that last movie did not happen. God, that was dreadful.

 

coinflip. 3 MoW. 3 conspiracy alien stories that aren't connected to the OG alien stories aside from basic "aliens wantie colonization." because the whole thing is such a jangled mess of continuity the final episode had to be a courtroom recap. I really wouldn't want 6 straight alien conspiracies, there's definitely going to be monster of the week. Hopefully better MoW than "I Want to Believe". hopefully a lot better.

 

Really looking forward to this new run of episodes. I wonder if they'll be the usual 45 mins long or longer episodes?
