Outsider View Story (OVS):

More police cars surrounded the hotel. The fire engines were on the alert, as well as the ambulances. The military commanders were bickering over how to get inside the hotel since the roof seemed to have been barred off.

News helicopters were flying overheard, and the news vans finally arrived...from all major networks: CBS, NBC, FOX, and ABC.

NBC News Reporter Janet Lundell was the first to begin broadcasting with her cameraman, after being signaled to begin by NBC News Anchor Tom Brokaw.

? New Yorkers and Americans, as well as people around the world, this big green and red striped ?box? you see across the street from where I am at the barricade line at Central Park is the just quarantined Crown Jewel Hotel of New York City. A caller phoned the police, saying a hotel guest had been infected with the Ebola Virus.?

The camera moved over a little to show a person who was going to be interviewed.

? Here we have Mike who has been here since the beginning of the ordeal and saw the quarantining process. Has anything major happened since then, Mike??

? Oh man...it was so cool! There was these awesome gunfire sounds and explosion sounds coming from the mooowtel. It lasted fahrever! It stopped just mins before you news pipples camed along...? Mike said excitedly.

The camera immediately got Mike out of view.

? So it seems there has been gunfire and explosion inside the hotel. I wonder what this means.? Janet said, just speaking and not thinking, ? And now we are interviewing Army Lieutenant Fred Nomsci.?

The camera showed the lieutenant, a beefy man for somebody in the military, and he had a mustache that made him look like he was a male porno star, and that combined with his seventies era, silver rimmed sunglasses.

? Hello, Lieutenant. What does the military think has been happening inside the hotel?? Janet asked, rather appalled by his tomato-red face.

? We are estimating that there has been a hostage situation and the caller who phoned the police about the ?virus? was pulling a prank in part of a plan to pull of the hostage situation. At this point, the Marines are still debating over whether or not to enter the hotel somehow by other means of the roof. After setting a perimeter and scouting the area of the sidewalks next to the hotel, it seems all possible entrances and low-level windows have been barricaded somehow. Judging by the gunfire, we are guessing there are around twenty terrorists inside the hotel holding people hostage. We do not what the civilian casualties are at this point. Oh wait...what?s that noise??

? It seems we?re getting a little bit of gunfire noise!? Janet said anxiously.

The camera moved to show a nerdy looking newsguy sitting on the ground popping some package wrap bubbles (Family Guy nod). He looked at the camera worriedly with a ?Get. That. Camera. Away. From. Here. Now!? expression.

The camera shifted to showing Janet and the lieutenant who was glaring at the bubble popper. Behind them a long, black limousine was turned over onto its side by a bunch of Marines who were intending on setting up a protective wall for themselves incase the ?terrorists? came outside.

? HEY YOU MOTHER*******! THAT?S MY LIMO!? Somebody screamed from the crowd observing the situation from behind the civilian barricade perimeter.

? Sorry about that profane language.? Janet said, embarrassed.

At the mention of limo, another limo came to the scene. It was the New York Mayor?s white Lincoln Navigator limo. The Mayor jumped out of the massive SUV and looked up at the big Jack-in-the-Box. He was too busy staring at the billowing drapes of the hotel in the wind to notice that a bunch of Marines were trying with all effort to push his limo closer to the main entrance in order to create another barrier. Finally, one of them got in the limo and drove it a few dozen yards to the desired location, and finally the mayor noticed, going ?HEY!?

Someone in the crowd yelled ? HAYS FOR HORSES!?

Obviously, the current mayor wasn?t

 

Concierge

"I DID warn you about the zoo we have. It's the largest collection of wild animals that any hotel has ever had. But you'll have to get through them to reach the backup generator. Unfortunately, you cna only use the main stairwell. The maintenance one, which would be safer, has electric locks on the entrance doors, so you cannot use it until we have power restored."

 

Rose fumbled around in the dark, Trying to find her way to the Lobby, It seemed like the most logical place to go, Besides thats where the doors where, and she could get out...

Holding onto the wall, She made her way along, Not being able to see in the dark, she fell down a few stairs, trying not to swear and give herself away. She evantually hobbles into the Lobby

 

IC: "but we're suppose to go the lobby, we can go to the kitchen later"

 

IC:

Wilson stumbles into the lobby.

"Dude, I want a refund. I'm not at al pleased with my stay."

 

I'm with you on that idea!

*Tries to find a way to the kitchen*

 

*stands there watching everyone scramble around, unsure of what to do*

 

JANI:

::Agrees, although she tries not to take her eyes off anyone for a second::

::In the kitchen, Jani gets a glass of water::

 

Isabel Mayer:

"We are already in the Lobby Paul".
She winked at him and grabbed all of the materials the Concierge was giving them, then nodded her head...
"Ready?".

OOC: I'm only here for ten minutes or so..

IC: Em wandered the hall-ways until she got to the kitchen, finding it empty she walked in, made herself a cup of hot chocolate, grabbed a donut and waited for company.

EDIT: People already in the kitchen... oh well...

 

IHM:

An elephant stampedes into the lobby hall.

 

IC:

Wilson sits in the corner to wacth the mayhem. He's kinda upset...

"Dude that's an elephant!!!"

Wilson tries to ride it.

 

*Grabs a lot of knives*

*Bridget sat stunned in her seat for a few moments after seeing the opera end unnatually while the connection from her brain singnaling her feet to run was made, then she quickly dashed for the nearest exit and tripped as she thought to herself.*

I guess there was a reason for me to bomb the audition for a part in this opera. I am thankful now that I was not hired.

*To her horror, in the dim light from the netted window she could see that she had tripped over the dead body of the gentleman who had hit on her that morning; the paper she had written her name and number on was underneath her hand and splattered with his blood. In shock she was quickly back on her feet and feeling her way along the wall. Each step she took was with caution because she did not which to see more of the dead.*

 

*dives into a planter to avoid being squashed by elephants*

 

*dives out of the way as an elephant runs past*

 

Jessica watchs Wilson. She looks around, she takes her backpack off, it's to destracting.

 

Concierge

"Well Mr Taylor, you can leave the hotel as soon as the quarrantine is over. And I can promise you a full and complete refund."

The concierge walked over to his desk and grabbed a set of CB's. He handed one to everyone going down stairs.

"If you get lost, just call me. I'll explain how to get down there. And whatever you do, don't let any more animals out of their cages."

 

IC:

Wilson grabs the elephant's tail. He's trying to pull himself up on the elephants back.

"Thanks for the refund, dude!"

 

She hears voices as she continues walking.

"Hello, is anybody here?!"

She sees the corpse of a little boy on the floor and starts to run following the voices.

AS

 

*someone lands on her* err...umm...

 

IC: ok so now we have knives. big deal? in case you didn't notice, they had guns and grenades!"

 

IC:

Cash McKoy reaches the lobby, and looks behind him. Tumbling down the stairs was a baby tiger.

"umm...never mind then."

He takes a CB from the Concierge.

"I, Cash McKoy, will be on Channel 2"

Cash, exhausted from his run, sits down on the bench.

 

*stands in lobby clutching her donkey in horror*

I thought we were going to get an explanation once we got to the lobby...so I'm here, someone tell me what's going on.
