There is no chosen one

I believe there never was a chosen one. Palpatine created the myth and long time ago and fed it to the jedi for part of his master plan, since I also believe he influenced the medi-chlorians to create Anakin. The jedi were too stuck up to realize this for themselves! The myth isn't even that well put together, it's an oxymoron. The Chosen One will bring balance to the force (equal light and dark usage or neither)......The Chosen One will destroy the Sith (the balance is broken). Does anyone agree with me here?

What you believe there actually is some oxymoron chosen one. Why wasn't the chosen one mentioned in the OT.......because Obi-Wan realized there was never a Chosen One!

How is he the chosen one? Did he bring balance to the force. No. A jedi knight was left who created a whole jedi order. It seems the force was kinda leaning one way to me!!!!!!

There is an imbalance when the "chosen one" perishes! When Anakin knew he was the "chosen one" it made him more arrogant with his powers and helped his turn to the darkside. Palps knew this would happen when he created the myth and child.

This thread makes my head hurt.

 

It doesn't make much sense because of GL's quotes about Anakin being the Chosen One. IMO it would have made more sense to have Luke be the Jedi prophesizedO about, and have the Jedi Council wrapped up on the wrong Skywalker. Luke after all does play a much bigger role in bringing balance than Vader does.

 

Autumn, this has been discussed to death sooooo many times.

Chosen One = ANAKIN, he destroyed The Emperor and therefore bought balance

Anakin Skywalker is the Chosen One. Brought to the GFFA to destroy the remaining Sith and bring balance to the force.

The word 'balance' may be a confusing word to use for this but the fact remains, Anakin was created by the force to get rid of the Sith.

Don't believe me? Watch TPM, then watch ROTJ. You will see easily, through all the issues, trials and battles Anakin goes through in his life, in the end he completes his destiny and destroys the Sith.

 

I think Palpatine let Vader throw him down the death star shaft just to lead him on and to get Luke to join the dark side.

 

I don't believe in destiny. I think people live their own lives and that's it. Anakin is different though. He is created by evil for evil. Palptine had Vader's life mapped out before he was born, except for the killing of palpatine himself.
