Rare steak is not about man vs. woman; it's about civilized vs. uncivilized.

 

No, it's a dumb thing westerners do vs while the rest of us look on with raised eyebrows.

 

Come to think of it, I've never had rare steak. It's always medium rare when I order it. How does it taste in comparison?

For an South Asian like myself that's basically the same thing.

 

Hmm…so you eat all meat well done, even beef? I can understand poultry well done. But beef is the exception I make.

edit: Need to explain though: the reason is flavor. But it is not all equal for types of beef. Really lean beef makes no real difference. But a good marbled steak with enough fat in it is delicious done medium well because it doesn't overcook and allows the fat to flavor the meat. But it is a treat. It's not something I eat all the time. Not healthy in abundance. I actually like seafood the most overall.

 

I eat all my meat well done, even beef. But then, I don't need to have it uncooked for flavor, cause we South Asians have our spices for that.

 

We prefer tasting the meat.
