    1. If you want some tablet, people think you need a chemist
    2. No square sausages
    3. No potato scones (Sainsbury's sometimes sell them but all them potato cakes (english poofs !)
    4. You - have - to - slow - down - when - you - are - talking - so - that - you - can - be - understood
    5. Without Sky Sports, you wouldnt know that Scottish Football existed
    6. The underground in London doesnt always run undergound
    7. They call private schools, 'Public Schools'
    8. No one knows what dumpling is
    9. You have to say J as 'jay' instead of 'jiy' otherwise they think you are mad.
    10. If you come from Glasgow, everyone thinks you support Rangers or Celtic.
    11. No glass bottles of Irn Bru.
    12. No Scotch Pies (a sheer luxury - I have 3 in my freezer I picked up in Glasgow last time I was there)

This is actually from my cousin who lives in Guildford but I feel the same...

(I'm just adding to this every time I think of something else LOL :) )

    1. We actually call it toffee up here for some odd reason, people don't really call it tablet, but my mum and gran do cos of where they come from. Anyway, it is jolly nice!

    2.

    3. I think potatoe scones are bogging anyway!

    4. I understand this problem!

    5. It, like most football has become a farce anyway!

    6. Never used it

    7. That's just daft!

    8. Do they not?!

    9. I say "jay"

    10. Whereas there are also a number of other crap teams that you could support ;)

    11. I stopped drinking Irn Bru when I went on my diet and I haven't been able to drink it since

    12. I don't like scotch pies [face_blush]

No abernethies or tunnock's caramel wafers though! Or Embra Castle Rock

I had tablet yesterday which was made by one of the girls in work - lovely although my sugar level is through the roof today and my teeth have finally given in.

First time at my English wife's house (before we were married)...

Mother in law to be "would you like a drink Scot"

Me "Aye - just a wee drap O Ginger"

    Mother in law "????"

    LMAO

    A wee drap a ginger!

    That is priceless...

Which part of England is your lady from again?

OOH OOH LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!

    Tablet

    2 lbs Sugar
    2 tlbs Syrup
    small tin condensed milk (sweetened)
    2 ozs Margarine
    3 ozs water
    1/2 tsp Vanilla

Place all in pan. Melt slowly. Stir till boiling.
    Boil about 30 minutes.

Remove from heat and beat well and pour into greased tin.
Mark when cool; cut when cold.

Yeah but the thing with making tablet is the cooling it down - it can all go horribly wrong.

My mum in law is lovely - she buys me beer when I visit - my first Christmas there she asked my wife what kind of beer and as my wife had only seen me drink Tennants lager (I know, I was young) she bought be some Tennants - SUper!

    LOL - We'll see!

Difference between Glasgow and Edinburgh? You go visiting in Glagsow and the opening line from whoever you are visiting is "Have you had your tea?" Whereas in Edinburgh it's "You'll have had your tea!"

Well, well, well - can you hear the Rangers sing? Probably not. Was at the game and although Rangers played well in terms of having lost of the play - they lacked a cutting edge.

    Championi....
