Things that NEED to go away at sporting events

My personal pet peeves when attending Laker games:


-that ridiculous Jack In The Box promotion, whereby everyone in attendance gets a coupon for 2 free tacos if the Lakers hold their opponent to under 100 points............................there are better things on that menu to give away than tacos!


-as with many NBA games, the over playing of loud music during the course of the game


-the Kiss Cam (same goes with Dodger games)!



pet peeves at Dodger games:


-the Coca Cola trivia contest (the questions are always ridiculously easy)

-the Smile Cam (only should be used during big games)

Yes, please get rid of this.

 

Cheerleaders

 

I don't have a problem with the idea of cheerleaders, but in practice...yeah, they can go.

And that song thing sounds pretty bad, too.

Fortunately, college games don't have as much of that stuff as pro games, though college games aren't without some of it too (the previously mentioned kiss cam, for example).

 

This, and the overly-loud music.

 

The first half, no; the second half, yes.

Bring back the good choices. I remember as a child cheering for the song to be played being between Jimmy Buffet, the Beatles, and Def Leppard. Or something along those lines. And dad always telling us to cheer for "Cheeseburger in Paradise"

 

I hope you've got a good reason for this.

 

Yeah at Clemson they have a deal where free tacos from Taco bell are recieved with the tickets if Clemson scores 75 points or more.

Usually Cheerleaders perform in front of hald empty crowds at half time and half hearted applause.

They ought to get rid of the fan of the game nonsense. They choose 3 random people from the crowd and cheering decides who wins the prize of $100 at Bi-Lo. It always goes to the littlest kid, which annoys the hell out of me instead of going to a college student who really needs the money.

 

I would like it if they would bring back "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" to the seventh inning stretch again and get rid of any and all patriotic songs. Isn't that what the National Anthem is for at the beginning of every ballgame?

 

God Bless America every seventh inning at Yankee Stadium. Please. Go. Away.

The wave.

 

I must still be on a euphoric high from yesterday. I can't find a dern thing I'd change about a UNC home game.

And as for giveaways, when UNC breaks a hundred, Triangle area Bojangles' have a sausage biscuit deal... two of 'em for a dollar. That could have been my breakfast this morning.

Yes, please get rid of the wave!

 

The Wave should stay, but it's implementation must be improved.

Never during an exciting game. Only at large, outdoor stadiums/Arenas (baseball, football, soccer).

 

Tearing down the goalposts at college games.

 

In college, the cheerleaders have a purpose (small one, not really sure fans pay attention to them like they did to the Yell Leader at A&M) but they do cool stunts. They don't just stand there in skimpy outfits and wave a pom pom or dance. If pro cheerleaders did what college ones did, I'd care less. But I don't like the pro cheerleaders. They're not doing anything.

 

They do indeed do something..............................provide extra entertainment for those in attendance (and as a springboard toward a higher career........................Paula Abdul was once a Laker Girl)!

That moron who stands by the tee box at golf tournaments and yells: "GET IN THE HOLE!" after a drive on a 650 yard par 5.

I hate when I go to the Portland Blazer games and they have the JR Blazer dancers and then thirty 8 year old girls in skimpy little outfits come out onto the court and start doing some gross pedifile dance. This is so disgusting and unwanted.

 

Ha, about two and a half years ago my mother, my brother, and I went to a Blazers home game against the Kings (we thought it'd be cool to see the Kings play on the road for once) and we thought that junior dance team was really creepy. It's still mentioned from time to time to this day, in fact.
