Full Series Things that would make you squee if they turned up in Rebels

Remember that there were no non-human Imperials seen either in ROTS or the OT so I wouldn't be so sure that the Human High Culture/humanocentrism/xenophobic Empire is an EU exclusive only (so yeah, let's see what is stated in the upcoming canon material).

 

Except we already know we're getting at least one non-human Imperial in Rebels.

At the end of the day, the Galactic Empire for all its faults isn't the freakin' Imperium of Man. As much as it sometimes seems some think it is or would like it to be. Non-humans have always been in and around it and had something to do with it. Even as far back as ANH in which the Imperial informant when they were looking for Han was some kinda non-human.

 

How about Mas Amedda? Couldn't his loyalty to Palpatine in ROTS count as being a high-ranking Imperial official or would it have been not enough time into the Galactic Empire to really count?

 

I fully know that The Inquisitor is non-human and an Imperial, but I was talking about what was seen in the movie saga (Rebels is not out yet). The informant/spy in ANH, Garindan, was indeed not a human, but he was a freelancer who worked for the highest bidder so he was not an Imperial per se.

The canonical post-ROTS status of Mas Amedda is interesting; did he still continue to work for Palpatine in the Empire or was he let go? I hope we'll get to see what's become of him in Rebels.

There's no non-human Rebels either in ANH and ESB.

 

Well, now that we know Kallus was once going to be a Chiss, I want to see a Chiss in Rebels for real.

ROTJ added aliens to the Rebels - but not to the Empire.

Sure - doesn't mean she didn't absorb at least some of the prejudices of her colleagues - even if she tried to overcome them.

 

That's a better point but The Inquisitor still suggests otherwise.

Rebels needs a beach episode.

 

I would like to see the daily life in the Imperium to resemble DDR, with some aspect of the worst parts of 50's America like HUA - "Are you now or have you ever been a Separatist?"

 

Plus what we saw in ROTJ could have been symbolism.

I've never heard of people absorbing prejudices from those that they're fighting a war against.

Here's something that I would love: A rivalry between Trench and Thrawn.

 

Leia didn't really start fighting a war until some time into her first Senate term.

 

ANH gave me the impression that Leia had always been part of the Rebellion and was raised to be this way from birth.

 

"raised this way from birth" would be a bit odd.

It might be the EU that gave me that idea - but what little's shown of Leia's early life shows her living the life of an aristocrat - until her teens at least when she receives special self-defence training.

 

Thanks for the info. Still, I don't think that Empire is anti-alien + Leia is anti-alien = Imperial prejudice rubbing off on Leia.

 

Even if it was - she'd mostly overcome it in her time as a Rebel.

She ends up having to work with Zeltrons anyway.

All fett clone stormtroopers rebel against the empire and get into a huge shootout with several hundred non-clone stormtroopers and the clones kill all of them while yelling "for the republic" and it would be fun to see the non-clone stormtroopers being taken down like droids.
