Things To Do Checklist

That sounds nice. I have to work all day but if it's anything like yesterday I'll probably just be posting here all day.

 

What department do you work in Tom? Is there anything better than getting paid to post on the net?

 

I work in circulation. I worked there for over four years as a student employee, when I had to shelve books, and do all kinds of tedious busy work. Now I'm a supervisor and get to send students up to do that sort of thing while I post on the net all day

Actually, I do have a bunch of responsibilities but they aren't very time consuming, so I have lots of time left over.

 

Awesome. That sounds like darn good job.
I like the people I work with, the tasks I am assigned to, and the office I work in, but I usually get finished in half the time, so I have four hours of nothing to do every day... with no internet access. I just have to sit at my desk and look busy during that time. It can be mind-numbing.

 

Yeah, posting on the net actually helps me look busy at times. Unfortunately, everybody in the office can see what's on my screen which makes me a bit self concious at times. But I always get all my work done, and done well so nobody can really say anything.

 

Yeah, they definitely have no right to complain, then. I couldn't surf the net even if my computer did have web access. My desk is directly accross the room from where my boss sits.

 

The atmosphere around my office is pretty relaxed. Everybody has times when they have nothing to do, so we can all kind of do our own thing when that's the case. And on weekends I am the boss.

 

That's gotta be sweet (especially after 4 years of working hard).

Well, I've been languishing for too long, I'd better go have a shower before the weekend slips away. Seeya later!

Okay, how's this for a game idea? (my inspiration was that battle cat image)

Someone on the JC has to start with a list of five random nouns (like tomato, skateboard, basket, crowbar, jellyfish, etc), and others have to come up with what those items can be made into. Who ever has the most original answer wins (added images get bonus points), and then posts his or her own list of items.

Does anyone know if, to take over someone else's account, you need proof you got permission? Because I have friend with a fairly old account. I do indeed. Newer than mine, of course *grins gloatingly*, but nonetheless, I want it. All I would need is for someone to change the private email, and... yeah! Well, anyone know?

Yeah, I think you would need proof that you have permission. If your friend's not using the account anymore though, you could just get them to give you the password and then change it to whatever you want.

Exactly. My friend has forgotten about this place. When I asked him, he was like, "Uh, what? Sure, you can have that, it was like 2 years ago!"
