Yeah, I remember waiting for that ever since I first saw Return of the Jedi.

 

Mandalorians vs Jedi [never read any of the EU regarding Mandos other than what was in the essential guides in the 90s , but it's something I always pictured the clone wars to be about , right back to being a kid in the 80s]

Giving the spotlight to some of the background aliens like the squid heads and weequay which were always my favourite action figures

More bounty hunters , scum and villainy

May sound daft given the title of the show and makes this a bit of an obvious one, but actually seeing the clone wars unfold

Return of Maul - may be controversial but right up to ROTS i was expecting him to come back

Ever since Monkey Lizard's first appearance in the series, I loved the way TCW portrayed it and I really wanted to see more Monkey Lizard moments, and we got them!

My biggest wish is still to see an arc set on Nar Shaddaa, but I doubt it'll happen.

Yes indeed. That shows clones in Epic badassity.
As well as Durge, they really need him now.
If they include the battle of Hypori, which just might remake Grievous into a more competant self as well, might be interesting.

Using Headhunters! I've been waiting for them to be in the mainstream CW EU since 2002.

 

The underworld wouldn't have me Gry. They sent me back, said I had some unfinished business to take care of first.

 

R2-D2 fighting another astromech.

 

Tarkin is the main thing that positively surprised me in TCW. Then some jedi like Shaak Ti, Adi Gallia and Even Piell etc. but those were expected really. Capital of CIS, Raxus, was also nice to see and I was hoping we would see something like it. Human-separatists (others than Dooku)were also good to see. Headhunters were interesting addition as well why I was not really expecting them they came as a very positive surprise. EU-ship models in the latest ep were also very welcome.

Entire episodes showing other jedi fight and hold their own against the Sith/Grevious! Hopefully more plans are in the works (Bultar Swan?,
Sora Bulq?, etc)

 

An arc dedicated to pushing Anakin towards the dark side and creating a rift between him and the Council - check

 

Having a blow-up of tension between Anakin and the Jedi Council is something I've hoped for from this show since I started watching it, and I'm pleased to say it delivered in a big way with Crisis on Naboo.

I wanted a Dark Jedi other than Ventress, we got that with the General Krell arc.

I've ALWAYS wanted to see Sith training in Star Wars, we got it in Witches of the Mist.

I hoped this series would explore the Force itself, which happened all over the Mortis arc.

These are major check-marks!

And as someone mentioned above, getting to see the Clone Wars in an ongoing television series is by itself a wish fulfilled.
