London, ON Third annual spring celebration

The forecast is for rain on Monday. If it looks like it's going to be wet, maybe Tuesday would be better. We'll have to keep an eye on the weather.

Also, we need to set up times for walks in the park. I was thinking we should do every Saturday at Springbank. I'm good for after 2:00 PM. We can also hit other parks on Sundays too.

 

OK let's just plan to do UWO on Tuesday.

For park walks, I'm available on April 4, 18/19, and 25/26.

 

for the walks don't forget May 3 & 4th. We'll go to the park after free comic book day.

 

I am free that weekend as well.

 

Can we do UWO on Thur. at noon. in front of Alumni hall in costume. My daughter can come too.

I picked up the prize donation from L.A. Mood today. It consists of:
- Star Wars 30th Anniversary Coin Album + Darth Vader Figure
- Star Wars Miniatures Game Starter Set (includes 6 painted miniature figures)
- 2 Darth Vader T-shirts (size M)

 

We are booked to appear on Rogers Daytime on Monday, April 27. Arrival at the station is 10:30 AM. We will be appearing in costume, and we will be bringing some of the Ewoks with us.

The producer has asked me to supply the names of everyone who will be appearing on the show, so please confirm with me asap with a PM.

 

Yodascorch will be donating a couple items as prizes:
- Hasbro collector series 12" Boba Fett figure
- Titanium Series die-cast metal Darth Vader figure

The weather will be sunny & +7.

 

I'll be at the park at 4 pm Saturday. It looks like starting next week I'm working overnights, so I should be able to get to any daytime events, provided I can get enough sleep that day. I'm also going to make sure I have the night before May 9th off. I am NOT available the first weekend in May, so I'll miss Free Comic Book Day.

 

I'm not available this Saturday or Sunday.

my co-workers all seem to think a colouring contest for adults would be a good idea. That's the feedback I got from the poster I put up.

 

If anyone wants to colour, I don't see why they can't. But there may not be a prize available.

 

I picked up the prize donations today from:
- Heroes (Training on the Millennium Falcon action figure set, VOTC Endor Princess Leia figure)
- Rainbow Cinemas (10 movie passes)

 

We got an e-mail from Piero who is attending the event with family and want to volunteer at the event too.


Also, I'll be going to B.A.'s Comics tomorrow to pick up prizes.

Will there be a volunteer meeting? From my experience running events it may be beneficial to get together everyone who will be helping with the event and do a run-through so we're all on the same page.

 

Yeah I asked if they could come out to one of the next two (only two) meetings before the event.

 

I picked up the donation from Comic Book Collector today. They have contributed three Mighty Muggs figures:
Han Solo (Hoth)
Lando Calrissian (Bespin)
Emperor Palpatine.
Approximate value: $55.

 

I've got another one of those kids laptops for a donation this year. It's the Clone Trooper version.
