This.......is........JEOPARDY! (Game 2 Sign-ups are happening ... NOW!)

This is the sports trivia game for the Arena.

Overall Game Rules: Players will sign up to play the game and be placed into teams of two. Each team must work together to figure out the answers of the trivia questions and PM the team' final answers (once per category) to me. Since this will be like the television show, the trivia questions will be in the form of answers and each team's set of answers must be in the form of questions. There will be three rounds, just like the television show. In the Jeopardy! Round, there will be six categories of sports trivia. Each category will have five questions worth, in order, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 points. After the first round, the top half of teams will advance to Double Jeopardy!, while the bottom half of teams will be game banned. In the Double Jeopardy! Round, there will be six more categories of sports trivia. Each of these categories will have five questions worth, in order, 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 points. After the second round, only the top three scoring teams will advance to Final Jeopardy!, and the remaining teams will be game banned. In the Final Jeopardy! Round, there will be one category with one question. Teams will be able to wager any amount of their points (from 0 to all of them) on the final question. The team with the highest score after Final Jeopardy! will win one week of VIPship and colors. The two teams who make it to Final Jeopardy! but do not win, will win the prize of not being game banned.

Specific Game Rules: Once the game starts, every two days, I will put up a category with five questions. The difficulty of the questions will range from easy to very difficult. Each team will have 48 hours to confer and come up with their answers which they will PM to me. At the end of the 48 hour period, after all teams have sent their answers, I will put up the next category of five questions. I will keep track of all correct and incorrect answers and team scores. Teams will be informed of their scores at the end of each round.

Category Examples: In a given round of Jeopardy!, the categories could be LOL @ Arsenal, The NBA All-Star Game, MVPs, The National Pastime, Tight Ends, and The Record Book. This is a small sampling of categories where the questions would be about football/soccer relating to events where one would LOL @ Arsenal, the NBA All-Star Game, different sports MVPs, baseball, football, and sports records. This is a small sampling of categories and by no means all-inclusive. Throughout the game's future, and because the Arena has sports fans from all over the globe, I will strive to make the categories about any kind of sports that could have fans here, including winter sports like any Olympic winter sports and skiing, as well as other sports like cricket and rugby. There will still be a fair amount of categories about sports that are American (i.e. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL,) but it will not be only American sports that have questions asked about them. I want to make this as fun for an American football fan as a European football fan, or an Australian cricket fan as an American NASCAR fan. To be short, I would love to embrace the internationality of our board in this game.

Signups are open now. We are looking to have at least 16 players sign up, so eight teams would be able to play. However, if more players sign up, the more the merrier. Signups will be open for approximately a week.
