Unless we missed something there, and I don't think we did, we should be safe...
oooh, the suspense
Keeping with how it's done on the JEOPARDY! game show, I will inform you of the Final Jeopardy category and then you will need to decide as a team how much of your points you are wagering before you see the answer.
The Final Jeopardy category is: Rookies
Each team should get together and decide mutually the amount they wish to wager of their total amount(anywhere from 0 to all of it.) Then after I have received PM's with each of the three Final Jeopardy teams' wagers, I will list the Final Jeopardy answer. Good Luck.
EDIT: The scores going into Final Jeopardy are as follows.
Rogue...Jedi/DarthBurns - 23700
SueAsideRide/Everton - 22900
Grimby the Hutt/BobaFett2001 - 24400
Only 1500 dollars/points separate 1st and 3rd place.
The Final Jeopardy Answer is:
The player who set an NFC Championship Game record for interceptions in his rookie year graduated from this high school, which I also attended, in this year
Note to teams: A correct answer should include two parts. You have the same amount of time to answer as a regular category(48 hours). After I receive the answers by PM, I will calculate the scores based on the wagers and post the final scores and winners. Then, DarthIntegral or another Arena mod will grant the winning team colors for a week. Neither of the two losing teams in Final Jeopardy will be game banned. I will also go through and post the questions(i.e. answers) to all of the answers I have given in the previous rounds.
Think I have a decent idea.
Is it 'the wheel'?
Because that's already been done.
Congratulations, the first winners of the Arena's JEOPARDY! game are Rogue...Jedi and DarthBurns with 47400 points. They correctly answered the Final Jeopardy category, Rookies, with What is Edison High School in 1999.
Grimby the Hutt and BobaFett2001 also correctly answered the Final Jeopardy category to finish with 45900 points.
SueAsideRide and Everton incorrectly answered Final Jeopardy while wagering all of their points to finish with 0 points.
Hopefully, we will see another good competition in the next Jeopardy! game from more awesome contestants!

0 is a good score? Right?
Congrats to teh winnarz!!
EDIT: I don't think we even answered the final question correctly.
well, 0 is not negative...
Good game to everyone who played!
We did our math wrong. Nice...
I was wondering about that... I think you used Everton/SueAsideRide's score as the second place team instead of ours
Nice. I've been on the boards for nearly 6 years and this is the first time I've had colours.
Well done to every one who played.
As I believe I said before, congratulations to the winners and all who played the game, as well. Please feel free in the next couple of days to post ways in which you think the game could be improved. Once again I will apologize for my issues in the middle of Double Jeopardy just because I was dealing with Jury Duty which was stupid. Anyway, if you have positive suggestions to make the game better, please let me know either here in the thread or by PM. Thanks.
Reposting the suggestions I made earlier:
- Provide correct answers at the end of each set of questions, along with a score update. This should make the game more interesting to follow even for those not involved in the game.
- Keep the team format, perhaps allow players to choose their team if they wish, and pair up those who don't have teammates when the game starts.
Yeah, I feel really stupid now. x 1138 x 42
You know, I just realized that out of the final 6 contestants, 4 registered in 2000 and 1 in 2001, with the only other one being from 2003. Interestingly enough, no contestant that was elimated before Final Jeopardy registered (at least on their current name) before 2002
Apparently this game favored the people who have been around longer
Maybe it is just a trick to re-active some oldbies or so... don't know. So let's see what the next game brings.
Congratulations, Rogue...Jedi and DarthBurns!
omg that's me!!!
OK, so who's the interceptions record holder? And how many interceptions did he have?
And yes, I realize we buggered up the year part...
The interceptions record holder is Ricky Manning, he set it with the Carolina Panthers three years ago with 3 picks of Donovan McNabb.
I agree, and to add to that, I think a co-host might be a good idea in future versions of the game. Just so someone can keep the game going if one of the hosts is incapacitated at any time during the game.
I wonder perhaps, if the Final Jeopardy round really suits playing the game online (with the net as a resource), because basically if you find yourself to be winning after Double Jeopardy and don't misread the question, you really should win. That makes the game a little one-dimensional at the end.
My suggestion would be to reveal the scores after the penultimate Double Jeopardy round, but then not reveal the scores before Final Jeopardy. This will mean there is more of a calculated gamble required on Final Jeopardy.
Also, I don't like the idea of people choosing who they are paired with, as I like the fact that people get paired with people they've not spoken to previously. However the way the pairing off took place was what I didn't like. Don't simply do it by order to sign-ups, but draw the names out of a hat. Make it random.
And I was going to make you my partner for the next game.
