Discussion THIS IS MADNESS - Your craziest fic ideas EVAR

I have had a few months ago the crazy idea to write a story with the Pairing Obi-WanXBoga I actually work on a good plot. If this isn't crazy then I don't know.

 

He certainly did love that Boga. I can get behind that ship.

 

I knew who would reply to this first. Is that bad? O_O

Okay, one idea has been haunting me from the moment I saw the trailer of "Dead space 2" with chaotic visions and memories of the main protogonist. This video and then the game had such an impression on me, that that I immediately thought of this story with Luke, Mara, Solo family and all the characters of New Republic era. I think this idea has to do something with a fact, that there are not horror fanfiction in SW fandom. So it would be such a crossover, where Luk happende to be on board the Ishimura during one of it's expiditions. After few weeks the communication link with Ishimura was lost,where, apparently, something terrible had happened. Mara begins to see terrible things in her visions. The New Republic government collects a new team to investigate the incident on board the "Ishimura", which will bring together the military,scientists, and different kind of specialists. Leia, Han, and Mara in their desperate desire to find out what happened to Luke, are coming along with them. The horros story with elements of detective would have had a lot of blood, madness, and fear.

 

Don't feel bad. Somebody once wrote - not planned, wrote - a Keeping Up Appearances / Star Wars fic. I think there was a small rip in the space-time continuum...

 

Findswoman you had me at time travel and Kirk romancing SQUEE! Especially the Chris Pine incarnation.

And natch, Spock has all the more incentive to keep the timestream intact. (OK, I need to stop!)

 

Man, that was years ago; I don't even remember what warped corner of the Interwebz I found that at. All I recall is that it involved Hyacinth and...Obi-Wan. Like, trying to out-civilize each other or something. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried...

 

I'm usually pretty good at finding homes for my bunnies but these two just can't be written by me because they fall apart because of the clash of crossovers ....

Greatest American Hero (1980's TV show): Ralph and Bill meet a 'Little Green Guy'. Yes, it's Yoda .... and probably a few other Jedi. The freak-out factor for Bill Maxwell is so much fun to picture, but serious Earth-Star Wars fics always fall apart for me.

And in the same vein for crossovers: having Jedi show up for a rescue in Emergency (1970's TV show) especially catching someone with the Force as they're falling from a high building. And maybe throw in Kolchak: The Night Stalker (another 1970's TV show) with Kolchak taking pictures of it all.

And I just have to mention that the best way to 'save' preposterous crossover ideas like these is to take the characters and situations from the other universe, convert them into OC Star Wars characters and situations and see if the plot can still work, picturing in your mind the OCs being played with similar personalities by the same actors as the characters from the other universe. It works and makes the writing so much easier. But the above two ideas can't be saved by me -- they are too heavily dependent on the TV shows to work.

A Keeping Up Appearances / Star Wars fic???? Whoooooaa, I don't even know how that would work.

 

I mentioned Kassandra in the FFAMA thread. Somebody needs to set that monstrosity in the GFFA.

 

I would like to see a story challenge where the winner is the author of the most offensive TOS compliant story. Nothing X-rated or offensive in a gory or sexual way, but a story that is just wrong. For example, ship Luke with somebody else but Mara and have the most horribly creepy person for him to shack up with and some type of story line that gives you the willies. Or wait, that was written already, it's called "Children of the Jedi".

Seriously, I would like to see a challenge where the storyline is uncomfortable to read.

 

ginchy and I wrote three chapters of a Little House on the Prairie / SW crossover. We called it "Little Planet on the Outer Rim." It was pretty funny, IIRC. It's lost now on the hard drive of a dead laptop.

I once had the idea to have a retelling of the film saga, except R2-D2's accidentally been replaced by a Frankenstein-esque creature that vaguely resembles an astromech droid (for all intents and purposes, let's just call him Artoo Meat-too). As for Meat-too's origins, his brain came from a hobo who died during the Great Depression and was resurrected in the creature's body by a mad ex-Nazi scientist in the '60s. Meat-too would start off somewhat suicidal due to the horror of being resurrected in this state, but the scientist got the idea to provide him therapy by putting him in a time machine and sending him to the Star Wars universe, starting around the events of The Phantom Menace. In addition to coming to terms with his existence over time, suffering various forms of physical abuse from all the things Artoo-Detoo was supposed to go through (i.e. not meant for organics), and facing a recurring antagonist in the form of R2-D2 himself (who seeks to take his place back by killing Meat-too).

 

Han as a Prequel Stormtrooper Clone. 'Buff said.

 

This one was so bad that it killed my fic writing for three years:

Star Destroyer tractors up an ambulance for the medical supplies, and the ambo breaks out of the hangar and careens down several corridors.

Edit: I would totally do that Emergency crossover, though I would have to catch up on an episode first.

 

Way, waaay back when, I read a fic that was about Palpatine picking his nose. Seriously, nothing else happened in the story....although, to be fair, it was more of a crack fic than honestly gross.

 

If you find it, send me a link. Please. I want to incorporate that into my high art.

Way back in the day, BroNar had an incarnation of Palpatine named Janitor Spit-and-shine. He was always drunk and all the officers misheard him and thought he was a genius.
