Prairie This place died!!!

I really do think that everyone went into hibernation, I really do. well I just wwould like to wish you all a merry christmas and happy new year! bye people see ya next year.

 

It is my Christmas wish that a min. of 2 new chapters form in the Prairies in the new year.

There has to be more people out here!!!! Somewhere.

 

Dudes, I'm in Japan. I can't be pouring myself into this place P) like I used to. That said, Merry Whatever, and a Happy Whatever Else!

 

Good luck YJN in getting any kind of chapter to start up on the prairies. We cant ever meet at the same place on the same day at hte same time, etc.

 

Patience is the key...

We went about 5 months and 3 failed meetings between our formation date and when we were able to put it all together and become an "Official" FanForce chapter. I think our first meeting was June 8th and our 3rd "official" meeting took place on September 29th.

Just takes a little time is all...

Talk to everyone you interact with at school. Try and recruit outside of the internet... (just a suggestion)

or even start up a social thread for everyone to come and talk to each other in.

All you need is 3 people for me to create a forum. But like Mike is suggesting, I want to see that it will be used first.

I believe there is enough in Calgary.

I've read through this post a few times, and my question is, whos from where? I can see "Calgary" mentioned a few times, but I'd like to know specificly who's from which cities: Your all invited to events in MB if you can, where we have a minimum of one Star Wars related event a week. We've been fighting the good fight here in Winnipeg for over twenty years.

People just need encouraging.

There just isnt enough internet fan interest on thesse boards, ffrom what i'm seeing. Sure there are tons of fans in the cities but just not enough on these boaurds.

 

One suggestion is to go to where the fans are. Hit the comic shops, the gaming stores and bookstores, etc and place flyers advertising a new Star Wars fan club.

Have anyone who contacts you sign up and voice their support for a new forum for say Calgary, or Saskatoon, or whatever prairie town you are in that doesn't have a forum already.

Three unique persons is all it takes for Chris to create a specific forum for that town. Then 3 advertised meetings with at least 3 people will make you an official FanForce chapter with your own Chapter Rep, a customizable forum and everything!

 

Come on Calgary! You can get a board too!
