In other news my semester is almost over! Finals next week. SIU is in the Semi-Finals this weekend for the NCAA I-AA FCS Playoffs. We face Delaware on Saturday (12/8) at 3pm Central Time on ESPN. I'll be there with the Marching Band.

 

I had an interesting day, today. I woke up around 4 a.m. with a fever and the chills. That alone made the day pretty miserable. Later on, I decided that I was well enough to play the ice hockey game that my team was scheduled to play today. During the last 2 minutes, I got hit in the hand with a slapshot. I just got back from the hospital where they told me that I have a partially dislocated middle finger and a broken bone in my hand. All in all, I've had better days.

 

It has been raining nonstop for the past 60hrs here in Carbondale

It's getting better, thanks. It's going to be in a cast for four weeks and should then be healed.

 

I'm going to go ahead and shift this to weather. Has anyone else been hit hard by winter weather in the last day or so? I didn't have power from about 1am - 11am and since then it has been on and off. Until the sun came out a few hours ago, the ice made traffic and driving in general a real hassle.

 

Carbondale got hit with about 3" of snow over night. Back home up near Chicago is guaranteed to be worse. I'm still in Carbondale until this upcoming Friday/Saturday.

 

Do you guys still have the ice everywhere? We've had rain at least every other day for the past 3 weeks or so I'd guess. We haven't had this much rained for years! And I'm speaking literally.

I will not dare step into the actual Smallville thread, but I had to say it somewhere ... earlier tonight I finished watching season 6 of Smallville on dvd with my bro and a mate. Finally! It stopped being shown on television a third of the way into the sixth season ... horribly annoying. Now all I want to do is get my hands on #7. How far into it is American TV? I know some of you guys watch the show.

 

I believe there is either one more or two more pre - Writer's Strike episodes left before it goes dark for the year.

 

We're just finished episode 11 of season 7 right now. According to KryptonSite there are 4 more pre-strike episodes left this season.

TVGuide is reporting that there will be 4-5 more episodes filmed now that the writer's strike is coming to a close.

It's amazing how much Smallville has improved of late.

 

School got shut down for today because of the Winter Storm. First time it's happened in 20 years or so. They cancelled classes after 5pm yesterday as well.

 

My sensors have picked up something strange.... It would appear that ObiWan506 now pocesses power over all beings on these forums.

I agree, it is very strange, scary and strange.

Thankfully it seems that the "(no message)" curse has not yet afflicted SFF, clearly we are the strongest forum.

 

QFT '(no message)' is really starting to get on my nerves.
