So it seems it's going to be another year when El Niño shows himself, and that's all good by me. Warm / dry summer = good times like this:

Yes, I woke this morning and decided, "No. Work can just wait" I gathered the lads and we went fishin at "Farty poo" (Whatipu).

    Good times. :D

We were thinking of going snorkling / spear fishing, but I'm rather glad we left that for later in the season, the water is still a little nippy.

Na, fish weren't biting. The tides are rather large at the moment according to my tide book and dad says it's not the best, even though we fished over the low, there still wasn't anything around... hence the paintshoppro edit.

With the lack of work I might be needing to do some more fishing to fill in my days it seems :( Either that, or I give it up and get a job somewhere :_|

    Fishing sounds better to me.

Just when I thought work was picking up again and I'll be able to make some good dosh over the summer... Seems it'll be another skinny month

yup, it's hard to get too uptight about global warming on days like today. (OK, I'm being trite ... of course I care.) I took the hardtop off my car on Sunday and had a nice drive up to Clarke's Beach and Waiuku and actually got a bit sunburnt.

    lol

Yesterday I doff'ed the shirt from about 9am till 1 whilst walking around a farm up south head (kaipara) and I'm on my way for a good tan this year. :)

Had a little lay down on the beach and watched the mullet in a small secluded bay jumping around. Very nice day.
