Somehow, in some way, I just knew that that had to be a People of Walmart picture.

 

A lot of them wear those shoes because they are diabetics and those shoes protect their toes from having to be cut off. My grandmother has a few pairs that she had to get so she wouldn't stub her toes and have them sliced off.

 

No kidding. I wanted to buy some Asics for myself but I couldn't get over the hideous colors. They are super comfy though.

And anyway, when I tried them, the Asics felt a little too heavy (at least the models they had at the store), so after trying like a dozen different shoes I decided on some Nike Dual Fusion in gray/green.

 

It's people like you that make it not okay for other people to wear Velcro shoes in public
