Oh yeah? Well when i was little i had stormtrooper velcro shoes. Beat that!

A lot of, if not most, if not most running shoes go for the "big, bright flashy!!1!" look now. I've been using Brooks Adrenalines/Adrenaline ASRs for years, and there have been some really...interesting...color combos.
