This is the first and only one that came to mind. And oddly enough, the only moment in all 6 movies that made me tear up. That scene/delivery was very well done.

"Not again. Obi-Wan's gonna kill me."

"Army or not, you must realize, you are doomed."

    "So uncivilized. "

Hmm, wouldn't it be quicker if someone just copy-pasted the three screenplays?

That would be a rather long post! Anyway, the point that the PT had no quotable lines has already been suitably refuted methinks. Certainly in the Star Wars Quote Game in the SWC, the amount of quotes from the PT and from the OT seem to be more or less equal.

Regarding new lines, I'm sure Gwendoline Christie's Imp Officer character (assuming the rumour is accurate) will have some menacing and evil lines in the vein of "Wipe them out, all of them."

I thought this thread was about how "I have a bad feeling about this" will be used, not whether or not fave lines from the PT will make an appearance.

I think it's been overused but they may well put it in again. I'd quite like them to go with the Casino Royale approach to this kind of thing. By the time Criag's Bond rebooted everything, certain tropes had gotten a little stale. When the barman asks a clearly hacked off Bond if he wants his drink Shaken or stirred, his "Does it look like I give a damn" was a fantastic was to turn the cliche on its head while still getting the best out of it and make a statement that this was a fresh new take on Bond. The more ST plays with kind of notion than the kind of direct call backs and on the nose mirroring that plagued the PT (just my opinion before people get touchy), the better I think. Honour what's come before, take things forward. That should be the mantra IMO.

It could be played for laughs, like the character is completely oblivious that something treacherous awaits.

OR someone could use it sarcastically. "Oh, I have a great feeling about this..."

Excellent comparison. I will personally be sad if they don't include it at all, seeing as it has been spoken at least once in every film in the series. Even if it's not the exact same line, I like your idea, as well as Revanfan1's:

My only problem with that line is the unintentional logical irony it evokes, i.e., Obi Wan stating that only a Sith deals in absolutes logically requires that Obi-Wan is a Sith because the statement is itself an "absolute." But that is probably me lawyering things that don't need lawyering, as my wife would say...

A line that stands out to me (or rather an exchange) is Ep. II: "Master, where are you going?" "For a drink." I don't know why but it gets me every time haha

While a Sith may deal in absolutes, also deals in Grey Goose, Stolichnaya and Smirnoff with some Jack Daniels on the side.

Speaking of repeating phrases, I could see a riff of Han and Leia's famous exchange...

::Han does something scoundrel-y that Leia clearly disapproves of, but he does it anyway::

    Han (sheepishly): I love y-
    Leia: I know, I know...

    Alternatively:

Han & Leia, simultaneously : "I love you."
Their kids, with some irritation : "We know!"

That would be AWESOME if done right! There definitely has to be a repeat of that running joke somehow. As for "I have a bad feeling about this", I'm in the camp of keeping as many Star Wars traditions as possible, so I'm all for that being said at least once in each ST movie.

Technically, Han Solo pretty much said the same thing in the OT ("Here's where the fun begins"). So I don't think we can give the PT credit for that one. ;)

I love how a thread about the "bad feeling" line is mostly occupied with PT quotes, as much as I love all SW dialogue

While we're (supposed to be) talking about bad feelings, what about the tradition of a big "NOOOOOOOOO" in each ep?
