Yes he did ^^ I'm glad he did. Still, some things bugued me in that episode, like his "angry moment", totally out of place... he would NEVER do that or at least not for the reason he did in this episode.

For quite awhile I thought Fassbender would be an ideal Thrawn, but Emperor's black bones Vana, Chissified Ben Mendelsohn is not bad at all.

 

I slightly photoshoped it (face structure) so it's not 100% Ben Mendelsohn but let's say 75% which is not bad

Yes Fassbender would have the right face for Thrawn!

 

Finished. It took me more than three months. (Sculpture is handmade, not 3D printed) Thrawn is by far the best antagonist. Altough I am not a professional sculptor, I did my best. This is my gift to the community.

- Ironlord: maybe Thrawn did not do that design by himself, maybe he asked an artist to do it (it must have taken a lot of money and hours of work to do that on a destroyer! is he allowed to do whatever he wants with Palpatine's ships? )

This is may be a dumb question, but one thing has always bothered me. If the Empire was so xenophobic towards aliens, how did a Chiss like Thrawn rise through the ranks within the Empire, to the point where he becomes Grand Admiral?

 

Thrawn knew how to make some Grand blue milk for the troops and Palpatine promoted him for his amazing beverage making abilities.
