It's different
and hard to know
where the line is
hard to stay
and hard
to go

it's different
this new reality
where everything
is sideways
and cock-eyed

it's different
and yet...
it's the same
light and dark
dark and light
joining

it's different
here
in the grey
where nothing
makes sense

it's different
trying to make sense
of the senseless
of the one thing
that seemed constant
that got turned
on it's head

it's different
and all at once
you have to protect
that which has led you here
here
to the darkness
and the shadows
and the grey

it's different
standing here
lashing out
at a supposed ally
who listened to you
an hour ago
you thought you knew
the darkness
from the light

it's different
standing here
knowing that nothing
nothing can change this
this moment
you wanted to save her
now you can

it's different
the grey
and the dark
meld and blend
and only darkness
remains

it's different
able to do nothing
but pledge
with only one thing
in mind
to protect
to save

it's different
and never once
do you stop
and think
second thoughts
you act

it's different
and now,
with a pledge
and a painful,
strangled
bow
so now
are you

it's different
there is no going back
it'll be worth it
you'll be able to protect

a confrontation
was had

On the jungle moon
good
and evil
went
toe
to toe

On the jungle moon
a confrontation
an end

was champion

On the jongle moon
a secret
long hidden
in the very stones
of the citadel

On the jungle moon
years passed
long
and boring
biding time
yearning
for release

On the jungle moon
excitement came
word of a rebellion
and dozens,
if not hundreds
sought sanctuary

evil waited
and watched
biding it's time
waiting
for release

is a temple
built by slaves
of an ancient race
as a monument
to that forgotten
but waiting
in the shadows

of a citadel
on Tatooine
a young man
has reservations

at the door

a conversation
takes place
it is but one step
among many

it has been a year
a year
nothing is the same
and inside this building
a man has waited
waited
frozen in the moment

the door is forbidding
as if getting past it
is a test
all it's own

maybe it is
maybe not

soon enough,
the conversation is over
and the door rises
and it is time
for another step

in the darkness of the entryway
a young man with reservations
strides onward
a friend...
no...
his friends need him to put the plan in motion
to make it work
to get them out
that...
he will do
