How much do the tickets cost, and where do I get them?

LAJ edit - changed title to be more specific

Unfortunately we don't even know the event dates yet, yet alone ticket information. We just know that it is next July at Earls Court. Any big announcements like dates/ticket info will be here in this forum, so check back often!

Oh, well yeah, of course. I was just asking for an estimate of how long the convention might be. So, how much do most 4 day conventions cost?

It's kinda hard to say, for one big reason. Showmasters have conventions in UK, entrance is about £5-10 per day, but these are smaller affairs than Celebration Europe, and we have no idea what will be charged for this event. I wish I could give you answers, for the moment, it's wait and see I am afraid.

Oh, ok. The most I'm going to pay is about $200, no more.

Do you know how much CIII was? I think it was less than that, and I have a feeling CE will be too :D

As I recall, the price for a 4-day pass to Celebration 3 was $95, preordered online. That is around £50-£60, so that would be at most £15 per day. 1-day passes might be costlier.

Thank God it's only $95, I did not want to spend $200 just for a four day convention.

It's more likely to be a three-day convention, but we will try to get some kind of confirmation later this month. I'm expecting it to be around the $100/£50-60 area for a 3-day pass.

IIRC the Jedi Con in 2004 costs about 125? or 135? (about 90 pounds) for three days if you had booked it really early. But I think CE will cost a bit more.

Really? That's pretty expensive, at least compared to C3...

At least that's what I remember. But I ask my FF. ;)

Edit: Ok, I was faster with finding the prices on the net than asking them. ;)

This link to www.jedi-con.de shows the prices: 3-Tagesticket (3-days ticket) costs 120?. So I think it was a bit less than 120? if you booked it really early.

Now that you talk about it I realise how expensive JediCon was compared to C3...
At least it was cheaper to get to Düsseldorf :p

But I'm expecting ticketprices around 100$ aswell.
    And honestly, I don't really care if it's 150$ or 60$, I'll be there no matter what :D :-B

    ;)

//EDIT: Btw any chance that someone could change the titel of this thread to include a bit more info? THX :D

I didn't realise Jedi-Con was quite that expensive either

I have a good feeling ticket prices wont be too bad. The aim is to have a great show, not to make a huge profit and as long as the barebone costs get covered, I think they'll be happy. To make a great show you need to encourage lots of people, especially families, to come and one of the best ways to do that is with reasonable entrance fees. Just my theory but again I will try and get some indication soon ;)

I'm not that optimistic, because I think they want to make some profit and most things in Europe are more expensive than in the USA (from what I have seen so far). But I will be really happy if I'm wrong. ;)

Thanks for looking up new information. :)

    Update!!!!!!!

    http://starwars.com/community/event/celebration/news20061025.html

Hints for CE. You mihgt want to join/update to hyperspace for possible extra benifeits.

Those are pretty much the same benefits we got as Hyperspace members at C3.
I'm not really sure if it's worth it. The lanyard was nice but so many people are hyperspace members that it sometimes seemed to me that the Hyperspace member line was even longer than the non-Hyperspace member one. So much for early acces ;)

I wonder if that might be a bit fewer HS-members in Europe than in the US though. Well I'm joining up for CIV and that extra fanclub day anyway so I'll be a member for CE.
