I emailed Empire today about it.

 

As always Cineentreprise will only be selling them on the 19th an hour before the first presentation.

Damn Empire Theatres! Hopefully they'll respond to the email, but I never really had problems before with just going in a few hours early and getting them.

 

I emailed Empire as well; they gave me this email reply:

Hello and thank you for your email and feedback. We welcome all feedback and questions at Empire Theatres. I can say for sure that there will be advance tickets for Star Wars Episode 3, but I cannot say when that will be happening. Also, I would guess that there will be midnight shows on opening night, but I cannot confirm it yet. My best suggestion is for you to become an Empire Theatres Scene First member (Just click on the Scene First logo on our website www.empiretheatres.com . Joining is free and this will be the first place we announce when advance tickets will be going on sale.

If I remember correctly--from the releases of LOTR and the first two SW films--, Empire usually informs the public about the availability of advance tickets on the very day on which they are made available. This usually happens about two weeks before the premiere release of the film.

 

I heard that famous players starts selling theres on May 6th - a friday (and for highschool students) a school day! Im going to have to run out at lunch if I'd like to get one.

 

Empire sent me the EXACT same reply. I'm gonna call them tomorrow.

Theforce.net says that Famousplayers in Canada are now selling them? Which ones though... Ive tried a few in the Vancouver area in BC... and nothing yet??!?!?!?!?!?! UGH!!! How stressful

I guess there aren't many AMCs in Canada then? I think me and my friends got ours early because they didn't announced they were sellign them until a few days after we got ours. [face_shrug]

I got mine at Galaxy for May 19th at 3:45 PM.

 

I got mine for the 12:01am show at Famous Players Silvercity Riverport in Richmond, BC. Bought them at the theatre.

They went on sale April 29, for most Famous Players locations.

From what I heard at the theatre I will be seeing it in its digital format, the way ROTS was supposed to be seen.
