Raz: These days most cinema's have allocated seating.

 

OK Christchurch people so who's getting the tickets?

 

Obi Jace and I will get the tickets, Hoyts 8 seems to be most suitable. still havent decided if we'll camp out yet. so far we have:

I e-mailed Hoyts last week, no response yet. I tend to think they'll use the same date as Village, since it's probably a date set by Fox.

 

well an interesting thing happened to me at work today, I discovered that one of the people I often have a ciggie break at work with turns out to be a big star wars fan, we were discussing games and outcast came up turns out hefirst saw star wars as a five year old when it was 1st released and would like to come along with us with another friend and his wife so can ya get another 3 for me? drop me a PM and I'll get cash to ya. My god there must be something in the water down here!

Hey the 25th is Anzac day, doesn't that mean that theatres can't open til after 12?

 

I thought cinemas are always open during public holidays. Except maybe Christmas and New Year....

i'm newbie here..I live on the North Shore
and am a big Star wars fan but not really
a games fan or such. Hoping to catch the film
at Newmarket because from experience it has

Graal - Cinemas are excempt from the public holiday law for some strange reason.

Looks like we will have enough people to buy two super saver books and get in cheaper!!

Chans will have to work out the best way to get money off everyone. Still got a week yet.

 

Damn thats not fair poor cinema employees! and I thought that chans might not have to get up quite so early!!

 

So it's definitely April 25th for tickets at Hoyts? I'll get that added to TFN media watch if so.

re cinemas being open: In my experience, cinemas are always open. I've been on Good Friday, and they are open on Christmas Day, so I'm pretty sure they'll be open Anzac Day.

 

SFL, I'm pretty certian that Villiage on Queen St. won't have allocated seating. It's just the kind of thing that they'd do. But if anyone knows otherwise, say so. Otherwise, maybe someone can save me a seat on opening night?

 

So have we settled on an Auckland theatre? The tickets go on sale next thursday!

Village on Queen will probably be packed and I think they will stick to their allocated seating policy. I got my midnight tickets for TPM from Newmarket without any hassle or wait..But then I ended up missing it because I had to do overtime that night(I was devastated!

It's quite a good place for toy and book collectors - four large Warehouse branches, and numerous book shops, but only one ToyWorld that gets new toys (Browns Bay still has lots of Episode I stuff!!) and no K-Mart.

I'm not bothering with the midnight screening. I'd rather sleep and then see the movie in peace once all the noisy loonies have gone.
