Is it the normal version that's got the "happy" ending and the digital version that's got the "darker" ending or is it the other way round? TC would know.

 

I dunno... all I know is that the digital ending has another five minutes of footage in total...

 

It's quite cool really - if you don't like an ending - get in the car and go see a better one up the road

Sam, we'll have to find out which ending the Warner Village has...cuz I'd rather see the dark ending.

I think it's the darker one that is the digital ending. Lucas wants to establish the technology but he ain't stupid.

Most viewers are gonna want to see the happy ending so, that'll be on the normal print.

He knows the loyal fans want to see a darker tone to the PT therefore, they're more likely to make the effort and visit the digital theatres.

He's all for pushing the DVD too.... the vid will be normal release with the happy ending and the DVD will have an option to watch the film with one or the other...

 

yeah, the DVD will contain them as extras.

I assume you'll be able to watch whatever one you want then (integrated into the film).

 

I don't know a bout that Alpha - I think you have to say which ending you want to watch in the shop when you buy it and they passcode the other ending on the dvd so you can't watch both

 

The video will have the alternative ending as an add on at the end of the movie. Like...

...darn...can't mind the recent movie that did that...

I still don't get how this will lead to Ep.3. In the PSA they were saying there were going to be two completely different versions of Ep3, but I don't understand how that's going to work.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if he releases the DVD with one ending. And a nother dvd three months later with the other ending. Barsteward that he is.

 

Maybe he'll release two DVDs simultaneously.. one with each ending, so that you have to buy two?

yeah, it wa a while back. Really long thread on it in spoilers forum. But I can't find it right now. I'll try again after lunch. (not the dvd stuff, that's speculation)

 

It's official but on the lighter side, they're giving away a free Starwars headband with every alternative ending
