CT Tie Fighter screaming through space...what are your favorite Star Wars sounds?

Something about that sound that is so unique to Star Wars. That and a Wookie roar. What are your favorite sounds?

 

Yes, I would agree that the Tie Fighter sounds (flying and the sound the weapons make when firing) are some of the best, and very iconic. I also like the sound the X-Wing weapons make, the sound of the Millennium Falcon while flying, so many great ones to choose from.
I'd have to say my absolute favorite is the sound of the Lightsabers. The sounds they make are beautiful. That first sound when the blade is ignited, and the whirling sound they make while they are in motion. Just awesome to listen to.

 

I also love the sound of the lightsabers when they're sweeping through the air. One of my favorite sound effects.

I suppose it could be considered a sound effect, but Jabba's laugh is pretty iconic.

And of course "GONK!"

 

The AT AT sounds are pretty great and really help make Luke's close encounter with those vehicles even more exciting and memorable.

 

The sound of Vader's breathing, the sounds of lightsabers as they swish and clash, the sounds of blasters spitting blasterfire and the sound of a ship entering hyperspace are my favorites.

 

The speeder bikes.

 

The Geonosian bubble laser sound effect is nice.

I also like the sound of Grievous' wheel bike and Boga's whistles during the chase.

 

Anytime I hear R2 beeping and whistling, that sucks me right into the GFFA.

and pretty much any door opening/closing sound in the saga

 

Boba Fett's spurs.

 

Ben Burtt really made ANH 'sing.' His sound design helped 'sell' the scenario.

Padmé's "Wa" gun, when they attacked the palace and tricked the Vice-Roy.

 

There are so many sounds from Star Wars that I love! To name a few: TIE fighter, R2D2 vocalisations, Palpatine (yeah I know).

Imperial probe droid. "Wait, there's something faint coming through..."

 

TIEs are great
R2 when he falls over after the Jawa blasts him and when he goes haywire at the Endor bunker
Vader in the Cloud City hallway when he jumps out at Luke. Pretty sure the same breathing is in Rey's vision
Yoda's laugh and all the other noises he makes
Lightsabers, especially during the Obi-Wan/Vader fight
The Death Star evacuation alarm
Interrogation droid and probe droid
3PO's sound effects in his story
John Williams score. All of it.

 

Another favorite - actually several - the background conversation noises from the cantina aliens.

The sound of slave 1 and its weapons is music to ears.

 

There is so much Darth Vader's breathing , Lightsaber sounds ,x wing fighters , Chewie''s roar and of course the soundtrack at the start who doesn't love that

 

The sound of the Falcons engines. Awesome, especially in TFA.

 

Vader's breathing, Chewie's roars and other sounds, lightsabers and blasters, the pew pew when a shot is fired, X-wings and TIE fighters. So many to pick from. I could never pick just one.

 

I'd say R2's beeps or Chewie's roars.

 

I liked every sound in the trilogy. My favorite sounds in the movie is R2D2 and those chatty Ewoks.
