Tiger gets an early 1-stroke lead, but Rocco's in much better position than Tiger now on the third, in position to get that stroke back and maybe another on top of it.

Notable because Rocco's played the first few holes much better than Tiger in the first four rounds.

DJ Trahan 4th place finisher, Clemson product.

But I would be happy if either one won .

    Only one now.

Anyone else amused at Rocco's choice of clothing?

Man, I thought Rocco had gotten a hole in one on that Par 3 early in the round.

I'm not a golf fan but I'm watching this. I think Tiger is going to take it unless he really screws up.

Two gut wrenchingly close putts for Tiger that ended up just short ... but he's got a good approach on 18, and a good chance to at least birdie it.

Tiger on the green in 2 on the par 5 18th... not particularly close, but he can 2-putt for a birdie and probably still tie it up.

EDIT: Nice approach by Mediate... he sinks that putt and he'll probably win.

EDIT2: And after 90 holes, we'll go to sudden death. Wow.

Wow. Just wow. Tiger is killing my productivity today. I'm gonna have to work double-strength tomorrow.

But, yeah, LAJ, the "loser" of this has nothing to hang their head about.

Tiger on the fairway, Rocco in the bunker ... good advantage to Tiger here on #91.

Edit: And a worse second shot for Rocco ... Tiger should win here. I'd be shocked if he doesn't.

Big advantage to Tiger now. He doesn't have to be greedy, just play it safe and he'll have another major.

EDIT: and its finally over, and Tiger wins. What a performance for both of them. Incredible.

Yeah - it held my attention even though I'm not really a golf fan. Congrats to Tiger, and to Rocco for doing so well against him.

When you consider that he was visibly in pain during every round, and hadn't even walked 18 holes since his surgery until the start Thursday... its just that much more impressive.

Agreed. I can't see anyone else in the history of the sport winning a major championship after taking off 8 weeks following surgery and not playing a single round of 18 between the surgery and the major championship.
