Shane's grandma has a major infection and is in congestive heart failure. She is probably in her last days, the family has chosen to take her off supportive care, per her final wishes. Please send your prayers and good thoughts to Shane and his family during this tough time.
Shane's grandmother passed away this afternoon. She was kind and loving woman, who loved her family very much. RIP
Shane, I am so sorry for your loss. My moment into the hospital yesterday afternoon. Initially we thought it was her heart again, but it turns out her pancreas is inflamed and they suspect it is being caused by an infected gall bladder. The infection has spread to her blood, so she's on strong antibiotics. The problem is - the Dr is recommending removal of the gall bladder and so far she is refusing. My mom has a pathological fear of surgery, though his time she is masking/ trying to justify it by saying Drs always push for unneeded surgeries. The dr said it was important though, more so because of her diebeties, which could be masking the gall bladder symptoms somewhat. (might be worse than they realize)
Thanks, Q. Actually, the last test showed the gall bladder was ok, so no surgery after all. Now they think it was just another infection that got in her blood. I'm not sure why her pancreas was inflamed, but it sounds like it is going down. She's still staying in the hospital for now while they make sure the bacteria are totally nuked.
Not sure what happened, but my uncle injured himself and lost sight in his right eye. The eye Dr said she could not see the retina even because of the blood. If he doesn't see any light by Sunday, Monday morning they are going to have remove his eye. This is on top of them having thier house Foreclosed on 2 months ago. Right now thy are house-sitting for different friends when they are on vacation, but they are technically homeless right now. So any prayers/ wishes/ good vibes would really be appreciated right now.
