Indi, IN Time To Show Off

Well it's not anything I did, but my friend Lisa is an awesome seamstress and she just recently finished her Padme Lake Retreat rainbow dress.

She happens to be moving back to Charleston, IL from Mesa, AZ. She has already said she wants to be a member, and she will be coming over to Indy often.

Yeah, actually she's going to complete her degree there. She left for a year to live in AZ, but that's where she went to school and where she's going to finish.

I can't tell from the pix if it is *extremely* translucent like the one in the movie. Is it? Huh? Is it???

It looks quite excellent. She'll make a great addition to the IKM.

She did do a nice job on that dress. Is that the only costume she made, Shara?

 

In Star Wars and so far, yes. She's actually made/making a bunch of Neo jackets from Matrix Reloaded and sold them recently. She also makes Renaissance type dresses, or anything she puts her mind too. She and I are going to work on some things for a Ren Faire we're going to this summer.

Jeff. Although she lives in IL, Indy is much closer than Chicago to Charleston, and she's going to be over here a lot for a couple of reasons.

Jorg, I don't know how sheer the material is. I haven't seen it up close yet.

 

We'll be sure and give her a nice big Indy welcome-- and a certain two imperial slugs better keep their yaps shut, unlike a couple of months ago...grrrr.
