Oregon Timothy Zahn in Beaverton

Timothy Zahn will be in Beaverton on Wednesday January 31st to promote his new book "Allegiance". I'm hoping to make it. Maybe we can have a small OFF group go?

Talk, Q&A, Signing

 

Sounds pretty cool, not too far from where I live. I can come out.

Plus if you go, you will see costumed members of the local 501st- Cloud City Garrison, and Rebel Legion- Kashyyyk Base.
I'll be there as ANH Han Solo.
Hope to see some people there.

Seriously, I should be there as well in me Jedi garb, so I look forward to seeing anyone in the OFF who may be there.

I have ideas on a costume now... just need to put it all together and stuff in time for C4. Oh the pressure!! Might help if I'd actually log out of Star Wars Galaxies for a few minutes =/ HAHAHAHAHA

I will be there, one way or another. Not sure if I will be costuming or not. It all depends on what time I get off work that day. So, if I am not in costume, I will be there as some ordinary guy... who will happen to be wearing his 501st varsity jacket!

 

HA! Now you see the power that is Beaverton! That shopping center is basically where I spend 2/3 of my days, lol. I'll be out of school at 5:00 and can be there by 6:00. I'll see ya'll there. Someone should make a sign that says "TFN Oregon Members Here" or something.

 

Great, We can finally meet Brook_33 in person.

 

As of right now, you can count on seeing me there as well.

Well this sucks....BAHHHHH.. We can't make it....Springfield is in a Black hole with no means to escape for this get together.. We will be there in Spirit. Have fun you guys, Allan

by the way, for all who can't come to the book signing, you can still pre-order a "signed" book from Powells, via www.powells.com.

 

I e-mailed Powells Books to get more information on the event, and they responded as follows:

Thanks for your email. Our event with Timothy Zahn will last
approximately an hour. Usually our events consist of 30-40 minutes of
reading/presentation and 10-15 minutes of Q&A. The booksigning will
follow that. You don't need to pre-order books as we will plenty on
hand at the reading. At this time I am not aware of any signing limitations.
Feel free to bring books from home to get signed, but we may have to
announce signing rules at the start of the event. We should have plenty
of seating for everyone as we're expecting approx 50-70 attendees.

The Rebel Legion will be present in costume at the event, but you're
welcome to come in costume as well.

I will likely not be in costume, but if there are anyone who will be in a costume who needs a spotter, I will be there.

I went in there today and there was no mention of him anywhere in the store, and the employee I asked told me he had no idea what I was talking about.

 

What can I say....it is scheduled, it's on the Powells web site, and I verified the info through e-mail with Powells. I plan to be there. If you call and ask to speak to a manager, I'm sure they will give you all the info.

 

I just called Powell's Books, and they confirmed the Zahn will be at the Cedar Hills Crossing story today at 7 PM.
