    Two guesses.
    1. If the pattern holds and they announce it at a con it will likely be Celebration since that will occur 8 months before release.
    2. If the current pattern holds they will release it on a random day, probably not at a con, whenever. Probably later rather than sooner.
SDCC 2014 seems way too early to me. If we get anything it might be a little video or some concept art or something. SDCC 2015 probably won't have any Disney property since D23 is only a few weeks after that. It's possible that we might get something at D23.

I'd say it'll be announced at the end of the year into early next year.

Star Trek Into Darkness' title reveal was around 8 months before the movie came out... that would put this film at around April 2015. But if it's cutting it that close, I'd expect next May the 4th to be the moment they announce the title, so about a year from now.

However, the announcement of a new Star Wars title seems like maybe a bigger deal so they may want to do it closer to some big event like SDCC 2015.

I could be wrong but to me it looks blue, appearing slightly green due to the background... This was obviously long before Sam asked George for a purple lightsaber during the making of AOTC.

    Right.

This was one of four props made for the Jedi actors and extras during the making of TPM. Neeson and Ewan had chosen theirs first when Jackson came in to choose his. That saber and the one for Ki-Adi-Mundi were all that was left. The toys in 1998-2001 were all based around the EU colors at the time, which was a multitude of colors. Some were consistent such as Ki-Adi, while others like Adi Gallia were changed for AOTC. Mace's other saber was introduced for AOTC and the purple blade added upon his request.

I still say there won't be a Star Wars presence at SDCC 2015 but we'll see.

I'd say a week or two prior to the first teaser trailer, which will probably be attached to Avengers 2.

Today is May the 4th. Lots of speculation that today may be the day the Episode 7 title is announced. I say, we're not even close to that announcement.

Going by the pattern established with the Prequel films, we usually get an official film title announcement several months before the film is actually released. The Phantom Menace, for example. was announced September 25, 1998, about 8 months before the theatrical release. The title was announced to the public on the Starwars.com website. On August 7, 2001, Lucasfilm chose once again to use Starwars.com to announce the offical title for Ep.2, Attack of the Clones - almost 10 months before the films' release. For Episode 3, what was established back then as the final Star Wars film, Lucasfilm used Comic-Con itself, a means Lucas used nearly 30 years prior to promote the original Star Wars film, to announce the title for the "final" Star Wars film on July 24, 2004.... Revenge of the Sith. That was around 10 months before the theatrical release of the film.

If recent history is any indication, we won't find out what Episode 7 is actually titled until spring of 2015. Actually, May 4th, 2015 falls within that timeline, come to think of it. I'm going to be incredibly bold her and suggest we will find out what Episode 7 is titled on May 4th, 2015, which would be about 7 months before the actual release.

I know this is thinking further ahead than Disney has planned right now, but this pic here has me wondering, what will be the first Episode 7 collectible released? This, along with the Battle Droid figure, were released in Fall of 1998, several months in advance of Phantom Menace (notice this only has a "Episode 1 Sneak Preview" sticker attached and not a "The Phantom Menace" sticker, both released just before the Ep. 1 title was announced....). We probably could not second guess what the first advance figure would be right now, but this pic does make me wonder..... maybe an older Luke Skywalker action figure as a promotional figure? I know that would appeal to me....
