Funny take on Luke and Mara coming together with all the delicious moments

 

Unexpected....hmmm...please don't tell me an ex g.f. Showed up!

 

Don't leave it at cliffhangers! That's mean! lol Oh, wait I do that all the time (suddenly is embarrassed)

 

That is totally me too! I always say...cliffhangers...they leave 'em coming back for more.

 

On no! Intriguing! Love how they all get along as a family Great love between them all. And swim trunks! Yes!

 

Now I don't read that many Luke/Mara fics, but you seem to write them just right. I enjoyed every word, sentence, paragraph of it. Good job.

Mara was in a speeder accident. Tryna stayed with Mara's friends while Mara was laid up. Luke came to visit her the 5 days she was in bacta, encouraged her through the month's-worth of physical therapy. It hadn't been her fault; someone had crossed illegally into the air-lane, and the accident had been unavoidable. The protection device had deployed, but Mara had still suffered some internal bruising and serious shoulder sprain.

Luke sent her a rose, one for each day of the week, until by week's end, she had 7. "I wanted to ask you out before this all happened, and I still do."

Mara frowned. "I'm not sure when or if I'm ready for dating again. But ... I feel comfortable with you, like I can be myself, without fuss or bother. If I could see myself growing old with someone, it would probably be you." She finished with a smile.

"Just try it." He grinned. "We're just testing things out, I won't lie and say I wouldn't be disappointed if we stayed just friends, but I'd never forgive myself if we didn't work to see what could be between us."

So they dated and grew closer for 18 months. Mara's heart warmed & melted & she fell in love, gradually as Luke had, more quickly ...

Until what could be said of them held true to that old gorgeous expression:

"Love is one soul inhabiting two bodies."
