To the EU authors: Don't Impregnate Jaina Solo! [possible spoilers]

Ok, so I'm just doing this because it came out my mouth randomly in another forum, and I thought it would be funny to have a "Don't knock up Jaina" campaign.

My main point of view is that Jaina is way too cool to have kids or get married just yet, but everyone seems to be leaning that way, rooting for her to get with Jag or whatnot. So, chime in if you support Jaina's virginity!!

I want her to hook up with Jag, but not to get married or have kids or anything until after the war is over.

They need to get her a love interest. Hook her back up to Zekk? He basically disappeared... I think that each of the Solo children should get serious romantic interests. Considering all the characters they've been killing off, the main characters aren't safe.

 

In SBS, Jaina was thinking that she only loved Zekk like a brother, but felt something very powerful and romantic for Jag.

In 25 (page 249) we get another perspective about her feelings for Jagged Fel.

"She had no idea where Jag Fel-probably not even in the known galaxy-and even less whether they were ever likely to meet again. If she insisted on waiting for a jolt like that again, she would be Mara's age before she ever..."

(actually may be thinking of Baron?), isn't that guy roughly Luke's age? I dunno... This whole love interest confuses me...

When has Star Wars ever been predictable? I dont remember seeing ANH, and instantly thinking "Han will end up with Leia". Most would have said Luke. You see, that is what made the movies so great, unpredictability. No character appearing and looking like hes obviously something, before dissapearing for near 1/3 of the series. No, its about highs and lows. Two who dont instantly start looking lovingly. A pair with differences. THAT is a well written romance. Han and Leia had it. Corran and Mirax had it. Best two romances is the EU.

It seems such a cop out to bring out uberkid just to give a character a romance. Id rather she ended up with Piggy than Jag

 

Ahh... so Jaina and Jag will be the Luke and Mara of the NJO... they'll make a complete fluff of everything, and it'll take MAS's return to SW pro-fic to finally hook them up...

I thought from the end of The Last Command that Luke and Mara were going to hook up... Ok, so they weren't lovy dovy, but its still happened in the end.
