It would seem that for $70 you get admission to fair, food and drink for two hours, and a tankard plus "entertainment".
I know I've spent more than that eating and drinking my way through the fair.

Might be fun.

Um, is there going to be a group rate negotiated????

 

Merph....that lovely feasting hall ousted the Royals and now we are in the center of faire by the falconers heath in a big circus tent next door to a bloody great trampoline. Supposed to be a good ride though. Grumble grumble, no one appreciates us royals. Where would the peasants be without us? Who would they grovel too? Good luck trying to negotiate a group rate, the owners of the Faire are loosing money this year, they really aren't willing to do much in the negotiation dpt I believe.

I looked at the site and they have group rates for groups of 15 or more.

I'd volunteer to be the coordinator but with my geographical location . . .

I'm going to add this to the TFF agenda so me, Mike and Scott can stare at it for 10 seconds and see whose "in".

 

Did this get discussed at yesterday's meeting? I got stuck on toddler nap duty and didn't make it.

It was discussed. Plan seems to be to try and figure out a date inthe thread here. Most of us seem to be thinking a little farther into the year to give people time to find work to afford the outing.

Icon chosen. Spiffy aint it? The Ren Faire runs Feb and March, I'll be there on SUndays hopefully in the last part of Feb and all of March. Also, don't forget the Highland games. When they are, I don't know, must ask stupid fiance.

I would just like to state that I am available just about any weekend to go to this... sadly, I have to rehearse for my current production on President's Day so that day is out for me. But any other should be okay.

 

Moe and I will be in town for the weekend of Scott and Holly's wedding. So we will be going on the 15th.

 

It looks like Rachel will be in town that weekend. We haven't decided yet, we may go either the 15th or the 16th; so we may see you there, Sistine.

Me, because it gives me time to buy the material & make my renn costume.
Her, because due to HUGE vet bills, she's a little low on funds.

 

FYI: February 7th, 8th, and 16th are the only 2-4-1 days of the Faire. Otherwise, get your tix from Fry's Food & Drug or Fry's Marketplace for $2 off or do the group rate thing.

 

So, will there be a PFF group at Renn Faire on the 15th? I'd be interested in meeting up with folks, if so...

I'll be working the faire on the 15th and possibly the 16th too, so if you can come on over to the crappy new Royal COurt pavilion and see Bryan and me. I think that we will have time to hang out. Let me know the plans so that we can look for you.

 

i already told the rpg group this, but i'm bowing out of this trip to the renn faire. funds are tight, and there's only so many turkey legs a man can eat.

 

Blackfeather, I have some comp tickets if you want one. That way you can go, just not eat a nasty, icky NON turkey, turkey leg. They're really pork bits formed around a turkey bone you know.
