I'm not sure which is more amusing, the fact that you had a mullet or that fact that you miss it! ;)

When Footloose was really big and everyone was getting Kevin Bacon's hairdo from the movie, the "spike." I also wanted one, so my mother took me to a barber to get my spike. The 150 year old man that cut my hair just ended-up shaving my head. I had about a quarter inch of hair left. That was the last time I went to the barber to get a haircut. Well, I do go to a barber now. However, the barber is not 150 years old.

Actually it was pretty cool. :) Occasionly one of the girls that sat behind me in Physics would braid it when she got bored. What would have amused you was to see what it looked like when she made pig tails out of my mullet.

/\ Sorry Jeff, I couldn't resist. A mullet is short hair in the front, long in back. Also known as "business in the front, party in the back".

    I definitely don't have a mullet.

I've had the same haircut since I was 5.

I admit I had a mullet in 1984. But you can't laugh because a) it was 1984 and b) I lived in Florida. So it was doubly appropriate. :)

I kept my mullet until 1989. I decided to get a short, military type haircut several months before I joined the Air Force, it shocked several people in my High School when I showed up looking "less cool" :p one day.

Edit: For the record Jeff what kind of hair style do you have? I just realized that I don't think I've seen you not wearing a cap.

I love it when someone writes a song that I can relate to...

now I will tell you what I've done for you
    50 thousand tears I've cried
screaming deceiving and bleeding for you
and you still won't hear me
don't want your hand this time I'll save myself
maybe I'll wake up for once
not tormented daily defeated by you
just when I thought I'd reached the bottom
    I'm dying again

    I'm going under
    drowning in you
    I'm falling forever
    I've got to break through
    I'm going under

blurring and stirring the truth and the lies
    so I don't know what's real and what's not
always confusing the thoughts in my head
so I can't trust myself anymore
    I'm dying again

    I'm going under
    drowning in you
    I'm falling forever
    I've got to break through

    so go on and scream
scream at me I'm so far away
    I won't be broken again
I've got to breathe I can't keep going under

I saw this over in the AOTC forum, thought you all would like it. It's what might have really happened while chaseing Dooku at the end of the Battle:

    "It's Dooku! Shoot him down!"

    "We're out of rockets, sir!"

    "Use the laser cannons!"

    "We're out of blaster energy!"

    "Ram his speeder!"

    "We're going top-speed, sir!"

    "Call for back-up!"

    "The radio is down!"

"Open the canopy and throw your helmet at him!"

    "I have carpal tunnel syndrome!"

"Does this thing have external speakers?"

    "Yes sir."

    "Insult him!"

    Clone Pilot: Insult him, Sir?

    Obi Wan: Yes, do it!

    (Pause)

    Anakin: Do it now!!

Clone Pilot (over loudspeaker): Hey you, on the speeder. Your mother was a gundark, and your father smelt of gungan berries!

    (Dooku flips him off)

Clone Pilot (to Obi-Wan): It's not working, sir.

Well if any of you know someone who's got one of those mullets, here's an option for them to help others out while getting with the program. If they're cutting off 10" or more, they can donate the hair to Locks of Love and that hair will be made into wigs for kids with cancer. Every once in a while I've thought about seeing how long it would take for me to get the 10". My hair grows slllooooowwwwwwwwlllllyyyyyyyy.
