Today I worked 16 hours...

And at this moment I am in the last stretch of the shift....

Only 4 hours and 15 minutes to go.

 

Well at the moment, I work Front Desk at a Hotel. So 16 hours on a slow Sunday isn't to bad. I have the JC during my downtimes.


Now if this was retail, which I've done 16+ hours in retail. I would probably be dead right now and be barely pushing through.

But I'm still chipper and could probably do another 8 hours lol.

 

You would think the beds were the hard part of the job. But for me, it's the swimming pool. Especially when it is so hot outside. And you have to go in there to drop off pool towels or clean it up.

And you just think to yourself what if I "accidentally" fell into the pool?

 

If it looks any better, one of us could accidentally shove you into the pool Princess.

But 16 hours sounds baaaad. My normal workday has 9 hours and that's bad. even when i spend most of in inhere. Sometimes especially then when I am alone... I hope you get your food paid for?

 

Nope food is not paid for here.

If it wasn't a slow night and a concert night it would of been a bad shift. But it has been really nice. I got to get the laundry done at my pace and not rushed. And got to start re-arranging the back room.

 

Too bad.
I mean what's the harm if you sneak into the kitchen and have something to eat?

What's so abd about concert nights? Do all people stay in your hotel then?

Concert Nights are the worst. When I get home after I catch some z's I'll post what happened just this weekend with one concert. It's INSANE!

 

I guess your hotel is next to a venue then?
Well, doing your own laundry there would be nice...

 

That's a long time, but time is money. I hope you don't have to do that all the time, though.

 

Yeah, time is money, but with the internet at hand, e-shops might just make this equation worthless.
