That's right. 9 years ago this very night, all of New York was united in celebration as the New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup for the first time in 54 years. Being a life-long Ranger fan, I can say that this was truly the greatest moment of my life to date. Everything about that year was magical; from the brutal sweep of the Isles to Matteau's winner against New Jersey and into the 7 games against Vancouver. Many hockey scholars still consider 1994 to be the greatest Finals series ever played and I absolutely agree with them. I still get goosebumps thinking about Game 7 when MacTavish won the faceoff with 1.6 seconds left! You can keep your Cup, Devils!! 1994 is all I'll ever need!!

NOW I CAN DIE IN PEACE!

I remember that night. I was in a Flag Day parade for my town and I ran home from the high school to catch the end of it. Everyone was listening to it on their walkmans during the parade, except me because I didn't have one. And I got home to see them win, and I woke up my parents in the process. What a night that was.
