I was wondering if anyone else worries like me over the state of today's gaming in 20 years time. Whereas I can just plug in a SNES and slam in the cartridge, it's a little more complicated now. I'm a console gamer, and there are many games this gen that I will likely want to revisit throughout my life. Games like the Mass Effect trilogy or the Uncharted trilogy have characters that I have genuinely become attached to. I liked those stories, and would very much like to be able to replay them in the future. However, patches and DLC mean that simply having the disk does not make a complete game. I've found this site for 360 games which allows you to download patches and store them forever, in an external HDD: http://www.xbuc.net/?asc=1&sort=date Does anybody know of a similar site for PS3 patches? One day in the future, Live/PSN are going to be shut down, and I want to be prepared for that day so that these memories can be relived.
