So, I had pre-ordered Eric Clapton's new album Clapton (creative title). Apparently there was a manufacturing delay. In order to tide me over, the record company e-mailed me a link to download a .zip file of the entire, DRM-free album.


I just thought it was a cool gesture I never would have expected (and never heard of happening before).

 

Pretty unusual.

worth it?

 

I only owned Plastic Ono Band so for me, yes. So far the remasters sound pretty good. The packaging/goodies are neat, but nothing I couldn't do without. Haven't listened to the home demos yet.

 

yeah, my lennon collection is lacking as well. i think i'll pick it up when i have some cash. i just bought a 42" tv for some reason.

 

We have a 50-something" TV. I wasn't thrilled at first, but I came around once I realized what it was capable of.

Today I bought a book: Why Mahler? by Norman Lebrecht.

 

Recent CD purchase; "Heart" Greatest Hits. Realized I had none of this and our band has a new female lead singer.
