So, what did y'all think?

I will try to write this without givig away any plot. It was a very, very, very good movie. BUT I don't know if I liked it any more than Episode I. A lot of people trashed Ep1, but I really liked it. This movie does explain a lot and has some AWESOME fighting scenes and some surprises, but it is essentially a love story and for the first half of the movie -- maybe even longer than half -- that is essentially how it is treated (sort of like, The Bodyguard) while the second half sort of resembles Gladiator . The plot is good, the visuals are stunning (of course) and the computer animation is even better than Ep1. (Even Yoda is computer generated in this film and not a puppet.) There are some jokes, and one pretty lame plot line concerning C3PO that they could have left out.

I went to the first showing in my town, Monroe, Michigan, at noon. It was NOT sold out and the crowd seemed very subdued at the end. I was really down, really somber ending I thought. It was a very good movie, but not one that left you breathless like Episode One seemed to.

 

I thought AOTC was a great movie! The action sequences were great and the love scenes were never too long. Can't wait to see it again.
