Stars twinkled above & moon glimmered on her tresses.

Her feet lithely danced upon dewy blades of grass.

Her lilting silvery voice rivaled those of nightingales.

Beren was enthralled & followed her for many leagues.

Her eyes fastened on his and both hearts were ensnared.

Their hands clasped and souls entwined and remained thus through many adventures.

    No regrets, no second-guessing.

    Only a profound rightness.
Each triumph solidified the correctness, intensified the sweetness and strength.

Their love became legend & inspired others in times to come,
    such as Arwen/Elessar.

A worthy role model to follow and aspire to.

Beren/LĂșthien do take the cake when it comes to a romance that has it all - their tragedy only makes their blessings all the brighter! I loved the last line about their story being an inspiration - they really were, in more ways than one.

    Just perfect! [face_love][:D]

Thanks so much! I adore the beautiful blends Tolkien gave us of tragedy mixed with victory; hardships mixed with serenity in the pairings he portrayed. @};-

through many adventures :) And they shared so many, and explored a great deal on their own, too. I always liked their input into Tolkien's world, especially Luthien's, because in many ways her story outshone Arwen's in terms of action, though Arwen's part got beefed up to Action Girl in Jackson's films.:sabine:
