    Extra for experts!

who said "I am in fact a Hobbit, in all but size."

and the real question who says this...

"Look, my friends! Here's a pretty hobbit skin to wrap an elven princeling in."

I've been giving people a chance I guess. Plus the answer eludes me at present. Is it perhaps Thorin?

mesa poor uni student - no $$$ for net usage.

alas - I'm at uni Farmboy - if only it was mis semester break!

3.5 weeks (give or take) and my first year at uni will be OVER!

    w00t!

Next weekend a mate and I are going to the Hunters Hills (south of Timaru) to do this country a favour in ridding some pests, eg: Wallaby's and if any deer, pigs, chamois or hares should cross our way...

    :D

This weekend (7th - 8th of Sep) I'll be doing my kokako essay (worth 15% of ECOLOGY paper) but I hope to go for a hike Sunday (possibly with the rifle over the shoulder) if the weather holds.

    anyhoo - enough from me.

Seems we're getting new people to play - yay for Farmboy. I also contacted Sil a while back and she's keen to come back soon - which will help this thread continue.

I got "The Hobbit" on CD and have listened to it twice now. Chans (if you read this thread) It's *not* in full! It has bits missing, but the CD's are generally pretty cool - cheers.

Hey Graal! Have to grab some Suvlaki some time perhaps!

Good - time for a new Q. But due to my current state of poorness I can not see myself participating in this, or any, thread for a while - nor consuming those very very very very very nice Suvlakis.

    woe is me.

    :( :_|

but, things could be worse. I could be JP - and live in Auckland and not have any suvlaki or spags. And oh how I've had my spags.

The previous post should've read 'Damo will come up with a question'

    So here it is :D

"A tree that grew in Gondor; little is known of it, except that it was fair, and beloved by the woodworkers of that land. The staves given by Faramir to Frodo and Sam were made of lebethron wood, as was the casket in which he brought the Crown of Gondor to the coronation of Aragorn."

and for my question.... name merrys' horse at the battle of the pellenor fields

*newbie shuffles feet and traces circles in the dirt with her toe sheepishly* I thought I'd read all the info, but didn't realise I'd need to ask a Q myself.. I could make excuses.. I really have had a very bad memory this last year (there are reasons, but I'll divulge them as and when I get to know people better, otherwise I'll sound whiney;)

Anyway, others have asked far better questions than I could. I admit I gave up on the books soon after Eowyn was carried off.. she was the only character I really clicked with. perhpas it has to do with being a chick, but then I can read other male dominated novels without even thinking of gender.

So made my apologies.. sort of and now I shall go back to reading posts:)
