Next weekend a mate and I are going to the Hunters Hills (south of Timaru) to do this country a favour in ridding some pests, eg: Wallaby's and if any deer, pigs, chamois or hares should cross our way...



This weekend (7th - 8th of Sep) I'll be doing my kokako essay (worth 15% of ECOLOGY paper) but I hope to go for a hike Sunday (possibly with the rifle over the shoulder) if the weather holds.

Seems we're getting new people to play - yay for Farmboy. I also contacted Sil a while back and she's keen to come back soon - which will help this thread continue.

I got "The Hobbit" on CD and have listened to it twice now. Chans (if you read this thread) It's *not* in full! It has bits missing, but the CD's are generally pretty cool - cheers.

*newbie shuffles feet and traces circles in the dirt with her toe sheepishly* I thought I'd read all the info, but didn't realise I'd need to ask a Q myself.. I could make excuses.. I really have had a very bad memory this last year (there are reasons, but I'll divulge them as and when I get to know people better, otherwise I'll sound whiney

Anyway, others have asked far better questions than I could. I admit I gave up on the books soon after Eowyn was carried off.. she was the only character I really clicked with. perhpas it has to do with being a chick, but then I can read other male dominated novels without even thinking of gender.

So made my apologies.. sort of and now I shall go back to reading posts
