Hey that nasty McDonaldz by the place where we have the TFNET party in Orlando has a broken robotic version of that guy.
Been looking at various Mac and Cheese recipies to try a bit of experimentation in the kitchen lately.
i really like some of his songs. i think he's really good at crafting a song about a particular topic, which i admire, but i don't always feel like he's the best rapper. overall though i am pumped that he is having so much success along with ryan lewis, releasing their own material and not dealing with a label at all. the "thrift shop" single just went platinum. one million sold. insane. this song is pretty great.
agreed tom. He definitely has mic presence. But yeah, he's not a great rapper. I'd say he's good. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have great songs. His stuff is pretty hit or miss with me, but when he hits, dude hits hard. And yeah Same Love is amazing. Also, Thrift Shop was the most entertaining song of last year. Not the best song of last year... but IMO definitely the most entertaining.
The song is hilarious to listen to on the radio since they edit out every other word due to profanity. The result is nervous stuttering cavemen.
did you know about him before he became big or whatever level he is at now or did he just pop out of nowhere?
i heard about him for the first time maybe two years ago. i only heard a couple songs before the tracks from the new album started popping up though.
Same Love hit me hard with the video/the chorus. The first time I watched I actually paused it and looked up Mary Lambert so I could listen without the rapping in between.
