Tom Hiddleston wants to be in Star Wars

I think if I was running the show... I'd sure as hell would be able to find a role for him!

Yeah, but it's one thing to want to be in Star Wars... it's another to be a damn good actor who wants to be in Star Wars.

Tom Hiddleston would be GREAT in Star Wars!

 

Make him a twitchy remnant Imperial Officer and I'm totally in.

 

I wouldn't mind him doing it. He took on the Loki character very well, so I'm sure he is capable of adapting to a SW role.

The man is a brilliant actor; he'd also fit Star Wars to a tee, I think - maybe a former Imperial officer or some such thing. Really, I think he could play just about anything and I'd like it.

 

I agree. I could definitely see him as an Imperial Remnant officer or something... but as has been mentioned, he'd be good in just about any role offered to him.

 

Samuel L Jackson wanted to be in the prequels.

I want Tom Hiddleston in a lot of things but the ST is a good start.

I think I'd give him more screen time overall than Piett had. He'd be a much larger character, thus no... not Piett 2.0.

I want Hiddleston in the ST more... but even Jackson got his wish to be in the PT, so why can't Hiddleston get his request this time?

 

I'm going to predict that he will most definitely be in this now.

 

I think it would be . . . interesting . . . to have Hiddleston in there. Not that I don't like him . . . it's just that I'm not sure what role he should play.

Since we don't know what roles will be available it'd be hard to answer... but I think he should be offered a pretty large role that takes advantage of his abilities as an actor. We've seen he can pull off a twisted role pretty well, and he has quite the range as an actor. He'll pull off whatever role he's given, quite nicely.

 

I bet if that's what his role ended up being (supporting Imperial character) he'd still have a far more impactful screen presence than most Imperials did save Tarkin.

 

I think he could be the main imperial character(if there is such a thing at all in 7).

 

With Lucas out of the way, I'm sure GOOD actors will actually do a good job this time.
I'm looking at you, Neeson and Jackson.

If he gets a part, I hope it will last more than one movie (don't choke him so soon).
A really well acted Star Wars movie sounds like a dream come true.

 

Supporting Imperial/Main Imperial. Doesn't matter really if they bring back a Sith/Dark Jedi type person in control. But Hiddleson as main Imperial, Pellaeon-esqe typoe character, yeah, i could buy that.

 

The thing is... unless your Villain is Thrawn... which I doubt... any Imperial style commanding role is going to be a supporting one to whomever the top bad guy is, just as Tarkin was a support character to Vader's lead villain role in ANH.

 

That's why I said main imperial character, not main villain.
